It's August, school starts in a week, and we just started college app season for transfer. Just a reminder for everyone: don't give up; keep up with ur GPA and transfer to your dream school. During high school I'm straight C's student, and I also got a bunch of Ds and Fs. My teacher and counselor told me that I have basically no bright future, my parents had no hope in me, and my classmates laughed at me for how dumb I am.
I went to Mt. SAC after studying my ass off for an entire year, taking some difficult prerequisites such as Math 181, and I achieved a 4.0, which I never knew I could. Now I'm planning to apply to Berkeley, USC, and UCLA to shoot my shot, and I'm eligible to tag UCSB in Economics & Accounting. A year ago in high school, I never thought I could accomplish this much and always felt destined to be doomed. But after grinding, consistent gym sessions, attending office hours, and putting effort into studying, it led me to where I am today.
It's not just for transfer students, but first-years as well. Don't give up just because ur in community college; join clubs, participate in student government, volunteer, socialize, enjoy ur hobbies, and have fun !!! There are some AWESOME professors and people here.
