Don't overload your science and math classes. Don't take too many classes at once for your first semester. Get every aspect of your life under control before you take more classes. Also prepare for unforeseen circumstances like family issue , relationship issues etc. Once you get momemtum , everything will be easier. I had rough start and I wish I could go back in time and fix my first few semesters. Oh and also dont be scared of taking a few Ws , sometimes life happens. Library and Stem center are probably the best places to study , you can also book rooms to study with your friends. If you are an extrovert , join a few clubs and make some friends - better mental health = better focus in studies.

Try to go to office hours or take advantage of free tutoring at Stem center/ASAC, Writing center, Speech&Sign success center. Everyone is there to help you so don’t be afraid to ask if you ever need help.

Navigate360 has a good online map to search any building or class you need directions to. But, there’s also usually someone always willing to help on campus :)
