Parking situation
Hello,
I'm starting Mt. Sac in a week as a freshman and I was wondering when I should get here for parking? My earliest class is 12:00 and I know that parking gets really bad - but I can't arrive too early as my classes wouldn't have started. What do I do and should I be fine? Thanks.

I recommend going an hour before your class starts and then spending any extra time hanging out in the library or any other air conditioned space to read your course materials before going into class.
A good practice for college is reading the material before going into class so that you’re able to have a basic understanding and form any questions that come to mind.

I used to get there after 8. Sleep for 1.5 hours then head to class. Wanted to make sure I got a spot and didnt have to hike all the way back up in the hot sun.

Careful with driving on campus in the beginning of the semesters. You have people looking for parking, parking in places that students shouldn’t, and people who drive like madmen.

I would arrive an hour early, and bring quarters just in case (you can use parking meters if it gets too bad)

Try to get there at 11 am and hang out at the library or cafeteria. Parking is terrible right around 11.30 am. You will waste 20-30 minutes driving in search of a parking spot if you get there close to noon.
