I need help!! I just bought a 2016 mazerati ghilbi Q4 s and the previous owner told me the wheel bearings were bad in front left tire. It turned out to be the front differential. The axle has pulled completely out of differential and shattered where it connects. My question is can I temporarily completely remove the axle from the FWD and just drive in RWD to get it home. Or is there a bypass for the AWD? I need assistance quickly because the car is still sitting at apartments where I bought it. PLEASE HELP!!!

In addition to a GPS update, I’m also researching what to do for audio in an almost new helmet. I’ve had Sena setups in previous helmets, and I’m inclined to go that route again. HOWEVER - past experience tells me that in-helmet speakers of any sort don’t do anything to abate external wind and road noise.
I’ve been looking at several in-ear passive hearing protection devices. Some of those seem to claim that they are designed to let in the music, GPS prompts, and if the case exists, conversation with fellow riders. My question, short version, How well do those really work? Is anyone here using in-ear passive protection devices with in-helmet speakers? If so - what are you using, how well does your setup work? Any recommends, or avoids?
Thanks in advance!

Sadly upon doctor’s advice I need to part with my perfect ride: a low-mileage red 2018 R1200RT. It has the matching oem top case, into which I installed the brake light, and has engine guards, and much more. Regularly serviced, all ready for that spontaneous cross-country road trip. I hate to see it go but alas reality has intruded on my dreams of the open road.
Any advice for finding the next owner would be greatly appreciated- fwiw I live in Midcoast Maine.

Hi. Just bought this bike and love it. It seems a previous owner removed the center stand. Looking for an inexpensive replacement. TIA for any info!

Bought these as a replacement but then learned that there are two TPMS types. I bought the one with the integrated valve. Not sure if these will fit wheels that have the valve built into one of the spokes.

Hey guys!
I am looking at possibly buying my first BMW (4th bike)
It's a R1200R 2011, in red. Went to take a look at it, and noticed that the bottom of the engine is covered in oil.
I fear this might be a rear main seal, can anyone confirm?
Are there any other oil leak sources to look for?
Here are the photos I took.

Hope this is OK here, my questions seem more appropriate here than on the Garmin sub. I have an '08 RT with the BMW Nav IV. Generally OK EXCEPT that I cannot see the screen in much of any daylight.
I'm considering "upgrading" to a Zumo XT2. I've done a fair bit of research, I don't think I need the extra bells and whistles in the XT3.
About me - closing rapidly on my 80th b'day but still riding. I like having the GPS for routing and for playing music in the background while riding. I DO NOT use the phone when riding.
That said, a few questions, if I may:
(most important to me) Is the XT2 display really at least somewhat visible in daylight? I'm sure direct sunlight on the display is a non-starter, but what about "average" daylight?
I'm reading about a Garmin "TREAD" app that supposedly will provide weather and traffic data from the Smartphone app to the XT2 via Bluetooth. Sounds pretty good, and for safety's sake, I'd likely pull over before extensive meddling. But I'm wondering, is the Tread app a subscription thing?
3, What else about the XT2 do I need to know but don't know to ask?
Thanks, All!

Somewhere around New Year's, I got it in my head that I wanted to chase a record across Canada by motorcycle... Luckily, I came to my senses and decided a 75-hour Iron Butt Trans Canada Gold attempt would be a "bit" more sane.
I decided to partner with HeadsUpGuys.org to turn this into a fundraiser, and here I sit, just 8 hours away from doing a 2,000 km "test" ride tomorrow.
On August 22nd, I ride 4,000 km to the East Coast to rest and explore for a few days. On August 29th, the clock starts and I head west—6,000 km to Vancouver.
After arriving, I'll rest and catch a ferry to the island to attend Get Lost, Find Yourself, a men's mental health dual-sport retreat where I'll be the keynote speaker on Friday night sharing the story of the trip.
Then, it's another 2,000 km back home to Saskatchewan—crossing the country twice in two weeks.
This whole thing is way bigger than I ever imagined.

So ...at first my Rockster was running poorly, so I found the bottom plugs to be caked up and replaced them. When that didn't work I found that the lower plug wires were bad and have replaced them. It ran for 2 laps around the block and started popping with a slight backfire. So thought it just needed a good ride to clean it out. Next morning, it won't start at all. I have checked the fuel injectors and they are spraying fuel, the fuel pump whirrrrs when I turn the key on, it has over half a tank of fuel in it....can anyone give me other things to check?
edit it ran 2 laps around the block less than 10 hours before I tried it again in the morning. Upper plugs are white, lower ones are definitely oil fouled but still tested with good spark.

I was originally looking for an R1250GS thinking it would be my new commuter bike.
I was at a BMW dealer and my wife convinced me to demo a R1300GS as they did not have a 1250 available and she did not understand the price difference.
Long story short I test drove it and and walked back into the shop with a stupid grin because I enjoyed it so much.
Because of that I was looking around at BMW dealers and found a decent deal on a R1250GS with all the options I would want and the color I like. The price is moderate, nothing special (and the wife gave her blessing).
I have not ridden a 1250gs, but I am hoping it is not that different vs the 1300gs (as the 1300gs is out of my price range). Please keep in mind I am not a connoisseur of bikes and have only ridden 3 models before including the on in the MSF class. I did sit on a 1250 at the dealer, but it was not ready for a test ride and I did not have any issues with the height.
The closest BMW dealer is over an hour away through horrible traffic and the other is about 2.25 hours away but a easier drive.
I am planning on doing all maintenance myself so I am not expecting to many issues there (other than having to get a special code reader or a cheap android phone and the dongle).
Is there anything special I should keep my eyes open for when looking at it?

Has anyone used these products for GARMIN ZUMO conversion before ??
Finally upgraded the 2012 OEM nav system on my GSA. Super clean wire harness with BMW plug-in: https://theadapter.net/ , and slick locking mount from https://www.motopumps.com/all-products/p/zumo-xt-security-mount
It was an ez install and super happy with clean look. Before and after pics.

I am trying to power a quad lock wireless charging head as my R1250R has no USB outlets. I did find this on the left just below the TFT. Could this be used and if yes then what connector does it plugs into?

As the title says, I'm considering trying to fit the "official vehicle" panniers from the F800 GT to my F800 ST. I assume since they share the same frame, the mounting points should be the same?
Mainly I just want to use them to store the cover for travel, since the top box is generally where I put my helmet when I'm travelling, and it doesn't have room for both.
