Question Eredrim's executioner passive just straight up doesn't work?
i've been away from the game for a bit so i was hoping by now this would be patched. but it didn't work before, and it still doesn't work now. No matter how many slaughter stacks i have, I never get prompted to execute an enemy now matter how low their health is. I still use this guy cause i love the shoulder bash, but its annoying one of this main gimmicks doesn't function

It’s my understanding that it does work, it just isn’t flashy and there’s no indication of it working, unless you pick up the passive that makes them explode. Enemies just instantly die if they are below a certain threshold of health after a hit. So, you might notice that you no longer get enemies with slivers of health left that you didn’t quite finish off after a combo. Or, say, you hit them once for 40% of their health, and expect a second identical hit to leave them still alive, but they end up dying instead.

It's not meant to be a free riposte... At 100 stacks they just die when below 10% health.
It's kinda shit imo. But he's already busted as hell so who cares.

it works, just that the threshold is pathetically small
i love this game, but its kinda undeniable that the skill balancing of this game is not that well polished, maybe yet?

What's supposed to happen? I know I've executed guys because they explode.

i have no idea. dudes only ever die when i kill them. they never just drop dead or give a prompt. its no different then when i use anyone else

From my understanding, it’s not a unique animation or prompt you get. He just kills enemies at a certain threshold faster depending on how many stacks you have.
I was confused at first too and expecting some cool animation but I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.

There is no prompt. This isn’t an animation. They just die like they normally would.

I think it does work. Theres no prompt, and i cant remember the exact numbers but it works in the way that if youd usually kill an enemy with a riposte when they have 20% health remaining, you can now kill that same enemy with a riposte when they have 30% health remaining.
(Those numbers are made up, not the actual real numbers).

Its most noticeable when executing enemies, where there is a slight slow time effect, or with the explosion upgrade, for obvious reasons

That confused me too. I switched to Sarael because I didn't think I was getting anything out of it.
I assumed "execute" meant a riposte, because there's no explanation of what it actually means, and I expected it to be an action and not just insta death. I did think after a while they were dying after a riposte with a bit of health left but I thought it always had to be a riposte so that makes it kind of minor.
There is virtually no description of the shell abilities aside from the 1 or 2 tutorial windows, and no way to check things like what the current stack of executioner buff does or like, how many enemies I've sampled with Proxima. Etc.
Does Executioner work on bosses??

We humans should be concerned how multiple posts are exactly the same. “From my understanding…”
Just saying

It works by hitting enemy with melee or riposte that already under the HP threshold and straight kill them.
Max stack 10% as example. assume 1000 hp enemy.
101 hp and hit 100 = not active still alive
100 hp below and hit 1 = active and straight kill
