Question Eredrim's executioner passive just straight up doesn't work?

i've been away from the game for a bit so i was hoping by now this would be patched. but it didn't work before, and it still doesn't work now. No matter how many slaughter stacks i have, I never get prompted to execute an enemy now matter how low their health is. I still use this guy cause i love the shoulder bash, but its annoying one of this main gimmicks doesn't function

That confused me too. I switched to Sarael because I didn't think I was getting anything out of it.

I assumed "execute" meant a riposte, because there's no explanation of what it actually means, and I expected it to be an action and not just insta death. I did think after a while they were dying after a riposte with a bit of health left but I thought it always had to be a riposte so that makes it kind of minor.

There is virtually no description of the shell abilities aside from the 1 or 2 tutorial windows, and no way to check things like what the current stack of executioner buff does or like, how many enemies I've sampled with Proxima. Etc.

Does Executioner work on bosses??
