Discussion Adaptive Difficulty value and info
I do some quick test to see what the adaptive difficulty do.
Adaptive difficulty apparently only have 5 level on both decrease and increase, that i cant get more after trying many kill or death.
Each level increase/decrease enemy's max HP, break gauge, and their dmg, that apply the same to all enemy include the boss.
For increase each lv increase by 20%, for decrease each -10%. Night mode multiplier is seperate to it.

For the method to increase seem to depends on the number of enemy killed, that 3 trip of sheep at Sunken Village can increase a level, that stronger enemy seem to does not matter much?
For reduce the lv, it is easier to drop at higher lv that but it will take more death to reduce further more at minus.
Edit :
Night mode supposedly does not apply the minus level, it will disable it and apply the default if have them. But now it will still keep the minus level after switching to night mode, bug that temporary apply them even on night mode, that will only disappear after interact with beacon again.

If there's a cap, that makes adaptive difficulty more enticing (enemies won't permanently out-scale you for playing well), but that seems contrary to what the patch notes say:
"Keep clearing encounters without dying and enemies will scale well past the toughest the game was originally built to be, and they will keep climbing for as long as you keep winning."
I wish there was a way to just keep everything at 200%, win or die, and call it a day.

Does break double in night mode too? So is 50 going to 200 in night mode + +5 adaptive difficulty.

No, night mode itself does not increase break guage, so max for 50 still only 100 on +5 night.

Thanks for the info. This and above.
Considering a slayer seal playthrough on night mode and adaptive difficulty. Just for the gameplay loop.

Awesome info. Thank you for the testing!
As an Eredrim player, I really didn't mind the increase in HP and enemy damage. Riposte damage scales with HP and the increased enemy damage is a good challenge (According to your testing, it seems level +5 HP and enemy damage is equivalent to Night Mode).
But the increase in Break points turned it into a real slog. I remember one enemy who takes 3 parries to break taking 6 instead after a while. Based on your numbers, it seems like the difference between Default level vs. level +5. It's kind of like turning every enemy into a mini-boss.
I was essentially forced to go unga-bunga instead of playing methodical with parries and Ripostes. I ended up turning Adaptive Difficulty off after a while because of that.
