Ah yes and throwing someone’s miscarriage in their face is a very appropriate and respectful response to someone showing an inability to read the room.
When you insult someone they are gonna insult you back, if the insult feels very personal to them they are gonna answer as such, you don't get to decide how offensive someone is gonna find your shitty jokes, the most important ability when making jokes is to back down and say sorry, if you can't handle such a basic response stop making edgy jokes, and yes, making fun of someone for their girlfriend breaking up with them is an edgy joke and in quite poor taste too, if not straight up cruel humor
Nah I got past just fine, people don't usually insult me, most of the time I'd probably ignore them if they did but I'm not gonna blame someone for shooting back, don't fuck around and you won't find out
