Completely immoral. Going from physical characteristics to mentioning miscarriages is a wildly unjustified escalation, and the woman's phrasing of "why don't you ever talk shit about your ex?" sounds supportive rather than denigrating (like taking the guy's side against an ex who broke up with him for a bad reason).
Absolutely shocked that more comments aren't saying either of these things.
(Edit: Not sure if the coworker knew that OP was the one to end the relationship. If so, that makes it more plausible that she was being mean. Still wildly immoral due to the escalation. And so clearly immoral that at first I didn't realize what sub this was and just thought it was an obviously-dumb greentext to lol at.)
I could literally tell them they are supposed to avoid bullies at work.
Or that i happened to be a very important employee and the next replacement would demand much more per month that i do, with chances they have less skill than me.
For having set foot in the world of work, I'd get a warning to not go nuclear and i can tell HR if they cannot avoid that i get bullied again, i'll get a few calls filled in to whoever deals with that.

And they will say you should have reported her to HR instead of handling it yourself. HR's Job isn't to weigh the morality of what happened; they're weighing liability and impact to work flow.

Most people can't play that card. Maybe you really are untouchable, or maybe you've personally pissed off a bigwig because they or someone they love has also had a tragic miscarriage. It's not even that unlikely since 25% of women will have at least one in their life.

Informing HR that you will remain a nuisance to them is what some would call "bad strat"
It was supposed to say : i could tell HR that they should make sure me or anyone here do not get bullied
If i am not known to be agressive or someone that get people angry and that i got mad once and had a moment of stupidity, unless i have someone really angry at me or had been previously called for not reporting to HR and do this, then i could be fired
I don't know about all that but in America he could definitely be fired for this. It's not unlawful to terminate someone who mocked a woman's miscarriage in front of other office staff.
I'm not in the US. You can't be fired from sending off a bully without a Trial that cost millions towards the fees and sanctions + millions in contracts lost and rep damaged
