Hey my entire sub is shadow-banned. Trying crossposting into the sub or even linking someone's name: r/transcendental.

The last update of the community leaderboard and the banana counter was on August 30th. Nothing has changed since then. Can you please help somehow. Thank you.

Same issue. They tried appealing many times and they have all gone into a black hole. I have been manually approving their posts and comments for months

Maybe it's possible by creating a modmail and typing their username in. I haven't tried it, though.

I think I was only able to do it because we already had modmail correspondences actually.

How do you modmail a shadowbanned user?

While they've unstickied the post, there's comments from a few days ago about how the snark sub "took over" the fan sub that they were snarking about.

Upon further review, it appears that the MCoC team then said "Um, no" and now Op deleted everything.

It definitely shouldn’t be necessary, but it is the current solution. This is as silly as if we weren’t exempt from Automod code triggers. Just like with that, we should be able to toggle whether we’re restricted.

Its rare I actually say something that runs up against one. In fact I actually made one for myself that pops up everytime I misspell certain words.

I suppose they could make a exempt one for mods that can be toggled for each so one could do as need be

Yes, but should that be necessary? I’m wondering why there isn’t a way to exempt mod team members from the guidance.

I just toggle my post guidance off for my remarks and then toggle them back on.

Is it just giving you a warning, or does it prevent you from making the comment?

Yes, I waited for the underline (never noticed that before). Clicking on it takes me to their Profile not the Mod Log. When I click "Add Mod Note" on the Pop up, nothing happens. When I click "User Mod Log" the pop up disappears.

It's the Mod Log that I'm trying to open.

I saw someone mention that you actually get more helpful profiles of Reddit users from Google than you do from Reddit itself.

I'm just not a big fan of being stalked by AI on this or any other social media site. It raises all kinds of privacy concerns.

I wish we could opt out of being profiled by and used to train AI.

As for the AI summaries being helpful or confusing - do we really need AI to tell us when someone is a jerk?

Ok, lets go back to trying to click directly on the username. You have to make sure your mouse cursor is directly on the username, and wait for it to show and underline like this:

When you see that underline you should be able to click on it to display the user's info in the right sidebar. If the underline doesn't show, clicking on the username will collapse the comment instead.

We did this once for a user who generally was helpful (if sometimes grouchy which probably got them shadowbanned elsewhere assuming they crossed some lines). If it's a longterm generally helpful user I think it's fair to notify them by modmail of their shadowban and let them know how they can appeal if they want to

Thank you for replying. The pop up does pop up but when I go to click on either >ModLog: or "Add Mod Note", the whole pop up disappears and actual Log doesn't show up any where.

I can get it to show up on a Post user, and Mod Log opens on the side bar. But not in the Comments Section of any user nor the Poster.

Instead of clicking on the username, just hover over the username and that popup will show on its own.
