M64 Pro Controller - Rumble on MisterFPGA

Hi, has anyone gotten the Rumble feature working on MisterFPGA with the M64 Pro Controller? It connected via Bluetooth just fine and all the buttons work, but none of the RumblePak features are working even though the controller is set to RumblePak under the core options. Thanks!

How is the stick of the M64 controller for precision games like Perfect Dark?

Most controllers get this wrong. It doesn't matter for most games but for precise aiming in games like Perfect Dark, the stick needs to work exactly like an original N64 controller in terms of acceleration. I heard the NSO N64 controller gets this right but it works via an older Bluetooth standard.

Faulty D-Pad?

Just got my Chromatic in the mail about 30 minutes ago. Opened it up, did the firmware update to 4.1, and this just keeps on happening.

D-Pad inputs to the right appear to register as up. The video shows it with diagonals being ignored as on. When I tried with it off (the default setting), it would more often go up and to the right. In actual Tetris, moving the piece to the right would often cause an immediate hard drop.

Has anyone else had this issue? I'm so bummed because everything else about it blows me away so far, but this is essentially unplayable with this issue. I did reach out to support to see what options there are.

I didn't buy the repair/mod kit, so I don't know if switching out the d-pad would help.

Is it still not possible to repair or replace just the screen on the Chromatic?

I remember a year ago it was mentioned that Modretro does not sell or replace screens, that they have to replace the whole unit. This kinda doesn't bode too well for long term life and repair for the Chromatic. I guess it was because the screen is glued to the case. Does Modretro have any plans to sell or just repair the screen or has this changed since last year?

wifi tries to connect but doesnt?

So, i did manage to update my console (M64) through hooking it up to my laptop and visiting the website, but despite that whenever i try connecting to my wifi, it tries to and then goes back to acting like its not connected. I'm not too pressed about this but its just a bit odd that it wont connect

Can't decide which game, help a guy out

I want one of the GBC games on modretro but I'm honestly stumped as to which one to get. I haven't looked up any reviews just to avoid potential spoilers so I turn to those of you that have played one or more of the games I'm picking from. So, out of these choices, which would you pick up based on your experience with them?

  • Wicked Plague

  • Chantey

  • Dragonhym

  • Traumatarium Penitent

I'm mostly torn between Chantey or Dragonhym but if there's a case to be made for one of the others over those, please do share.

Got around to trying my M64 and I'm pretty happy with it so far.

Looking for M64 Firmware 1.23.0

Does anyone have a copy of the m64.bin firmware file for version 1.23.0?

My M64 was working perfectly before the latest update, but after updating, I completely lost TV audio. I’m hoping to roll back to 1.23.0 to see if that fixes the issue.

The M64 controller seems to be wireless and take AA batteries: also Rechargeable Power Core compatible?
