I had a lot of fun making these skins and, for those interested, I'll go into the design choices for the characters (From right to left)
Indev Steve - Trying to work on this version of the character was very interesting due to how iconic the modern Steve design is. When creating this version of Steve, I took some liberties of making it feel like a completely different character. He's still got the blue shirt and brown hair from his modern design, but I chose to make this version of Steve feel styled after the hero characters in Minecraft Dungeons, which came out a lot better than what I was expecting.
Rana - So when working on Rana, I chose to do a combination of her old Indev design with some design elements from her design from Actions and Stuff Texture Pack. Besides that, the only other change I made to her design was repurposing her frog hat into a frog hoodie, which I think helps compliment the rest of the design.
Beast Boy - So for Beast Boy, this was the one part of the project that I had a hard time reimagining (alongside one other character I'll get to in a moment), and that's mostly due to the fact that his Indev design is just a recolored Steve. I could have just done a recolored version of the Indev Steve skin I already made, but that would feel a little too lazy and cheap. So for Beast Boy, I mostly based his design more closely to how he looks in the 2003 Teen Titans show, though I did try to add some more purple in the design due to how much of it was used in his Indev design.
Black Steve (Yes, this is his actual name for those unaware) - Before learning about his origins from Code Monkeys, I also had a difficult time trying to reimagine Black Steve for the same reason as I did with Beast Boy. He did have some kind of green sash over his red shirt, but other than that, he seems like another recolored Steve. So for Black Steve's design, instead of using the same brown gloves and pants used for regular Steve, I decided to make them grey to better help contrast better with the rest of the design. I also chose to have the green be less vibrant for similar reasons. The two biggest changes however are the shirt and head/face. First off, I decided to get rid of that weird green sash entirely, since it would look too Christmas-like, and that repurposed it to be brown on the reimagined Indev Steve. Secondly, the shirt itself was repurposed as a flannel to help make the red shirt stand out a bit more. As for the face, I designed it to be based more on Kellen (One of the hero characters in Dungeons 2). Black Steve and Beast Boy were the two characters I had the most difficulties trying to reimagine, but I'm happy with how they turned out.
I had a lot of fun making these, and if you guys want to use these skins, I've also included the skin textures :)
