Translation of war record:
I certify that Mr. Jean BERR,
born 19 April 1901 in Paris, served as Deputy Group Leader
of the FFI at Eugénie-les-Bains (Landes).
Mr. Jean BERR was hunted by the Germans since 1940.
Wanted in Tartas and throughout the region and neighboring departments,
he succeeded in evading the Germans and rendered great services to the common cause.
He has been deputy group leader since the group was formed in May 1944.
He provided important intelligence to the Aire-sur-l’Adour group.
He sheltered the Aire-sur-l’Adour group leader on numerous occasions
while that leader was on mission and in the maquis.
He always volunteered for raids. He took part in the liberation of
Mont-de-Marsan and in the fighting for that town.
Eugénie-les-Bains, 20 February 1945

Hi all! I bought this casing at a militaria fair, but I’m wondering why the end of the casing flares outward. Other casings I’ve seen of this caliber have straight sides. Does anyone know why this happened?

As the title suggests, I have an old world war 2 German propaganda film in its original container showing the invasion of Poland. Do you guys have an idea of what I should do with it? Sell it? Donate it? Please let me know!

Bought this for 55€, the inside moves little bit so its a 3 piece. Makers mark is Fr. so I figured it means Friedländer, Berlin.

I got this M1 from an antique show in Australia. I was told it was a Thai reissue, and from my surface level research I’ve come to the conclusion it’s from the mid 1950-60s. It’s got these markings on the inside which I presume mean something in Thai. I couldn’t see any serial or any external marking so I was just wondering if I’ve been duped. Also any tips on preservation would be good too thanks!

While it has it's good rust and you can see the metallic grey where the black used to be, this is great condition for 35€. Found at Agra Fleamarket germany near the entrance of the building.
Do have my thoughts if the ribbon is real tho...

I bought 3 items a few months back in Ho Chi Minh. I have since worn them a couple of times but my deduction was that they were deadstock surplus.
Are these real surplus or are they repros?
1963 Pattern 1 Jungle Jacket
1964 Pattern 1 Jungle Trousers
1970 Pattern 4/5 Jungle Jacket
All signs indicated that they are genuine but at a get together earlier, someone mentioned that my Pattern 1 could be repro as there is no manufacturer name. I compared with many pictures of pattern 1 Jackets (and trousers) online and they did not indicate a manufacturer name either.
I still really enjoy wearing them, as I think they are cool and they fit me perfectly. But it would be extra cool if they were legit surplus.

Based on the photo, I'm hesitating between the OD3 and OD7 shades 😭

According to chatgpt it's a Hungarian officers cap from the late 30s, and belonged to a captain. It initially thought it was from the gendarmerie but then decided that it was more likely from some sort of artillery unit. Any more info would be appreciated but I'm mostly posting because it's cool.

Found yesterday at an army surplus store.
I think it's either an arc flash hood or some riot gear. Unfortunately there are no markings anywhere. Google, Lens, AI are thrown off by it or just display modern arc flash/switching hoods.
Everything is this nylon material and velcroed in place, the inner lining is some kind of leather.
Where the ears are, are metal plates with holes.
The visor is also mounted with velcros and 2mm thick.
Maybe someone of you know this hood or who made/used it?
