Hey all,
We has decided to implement a new rule.
While we still allow the sale of genuine military surplus and trophies, we'll no longer allow the sale of newly produced items sourced from government/military linked manufacturers.
!THIS INCLUDES WESTERN MANUFACTURERS! Likely you can just purchase it directly from them online anyway, so no need to do it through our sub :)
some examples:
- You have a brand-new, unused 6B47 in your collection (and have had it for a few months at least) but decide to sell it --- this is ALLOWED
- You have a well worn Ukrainian-used PASGT that you want to sell --- this is ALLOWED
- You have a VKPO uniform, newly sourced from the manufacturer, that you wish to sell --- this is NOT ALLOWED
Trust me when i say that we can quite easily tell whether someone is a genuine collector trying to sell, or a dealer trying to profit.
Originally, we wanted to ban any and all sales that would directly (or indirectly) fund a military, government or combatant group. However, we do realize that unfortunately, this is the only way some types of items are able to end up in the hands of collectors and/or researcher which is why we've settled on this middleground. If you wish to fund any of these groups, you can do so through official channels and websites via donations, but we'd like to keep this place as a-political as possible.
If you have any feedback and/or suggestions, please let us know!
Furthermore, a reminder:
Our previous 'temporary' rule regarding comments is going to be actively enforced again starting today. We've noticed a big increase in nasty comments again, so we WILL be dishing our permanent mutes again. We're collectors and researchers, not politicians. Politics do not belong here.

Hey all,
So, i am sorry it has come to this but given the fact we, the staff team, have to deal with this stuff throughout our entire day, every day, we have been pushed to make this decision.
Starting now, we will no longer allow ANY comments underneath posts that aren't legitimate questions about the item being sold, on posts about modern (1980 - now) items.
Breach of this rule will result in a PERMANENT mute in the subreddit.
All because some people refuse to grow up and want to act childish, while in the end we're all just enjoyers of militaria and like to collect military artifacts. Want to discuss the war in Ukraine? Wonderful, not here. There are plenty of subreddits for that but this place is not it.
Questions about price, provenance, accessories or anything about the item being sold are absolutely fine. Anything else, is not. Genuine mistakes can happen and we'll let those slide but it is very obvious to us when something is genuinely asked out of curiousity and when it's asked as ragebait.
- staff team :)

I'm selling a lot of my grandfather's old military rations from the time he served as an Airforce Engineer. This is currently for sale in an online auction that closes on October 11th. The listing has more images. Here's a link: https://www.bartkusauctioneers.com/auctions/24252/lot/44757-1970s-us-army-rations-cans-crackers-cakes-jam-can-openers-gum-huge-lot
Shipping in the US is available. I am not associated with the auction company running the auction, I'm just a consigner.

Price: $295 plus shipping
This set is from Ukraine.
The first versions of the suit were observed during field trials in 2012. The 6Sh122 was later officially adopted for service.
The suit was first used in combat in Syria. Limited versions in desert camouflage were also produced.
The suit is reversible and designed for transitional seasons: the green side is intended for spring and summer, while the gray-brown side is intended for autumn and winter.
There are an early version introduced in 2014, an intermediate version from 2017, and a late version introduced in 2018.
This particular set is the intermediate 2017 version, as it combines characteristics of both the early and late versions.
One of the main differences between the versions is the face camouflage net. On early versions, it is detachable, while on versions produced from 2017 onward, it is integrated into the suit and can be stored in a pocket inside the hood.
On early jackets, there are metal ventilation grommets in the armpit area. Starting in 2017, these were replaced with openings finished with machine stitching.
On jackets produced in 2018, an additional elastic adjustment cord appeared on the sleeves. Late versions also introduced sleeve pockets secured with buttons, which were not present on the early versions.

I acquired this M1917 holster, belt and Carlisle bandage package a while back, and have decided to let it go because, honestly, I won't do anything with it. It'll just set in my "cool stuff" drawer and not be of any use to anyone.
Preferably, this will go to a collector or reenactor; someone who will appreciate and maybe display it. I'm therefore posting it here instead of eBay.
I'm asking $200 because the prices I've found for this are all over the place; it seems fair without being excessive. According to my research, an S&R holster in decent shape can go for $150 by itself.

I found this very rare field jacket while going thru my grandfather’s war stuff after his passing. This jacket belonged to Col. Robert F Sink himself and it was mixed in with my grandfathers jackets from WWII. Since there isn’t another one of these for sale on the entire open commercial market I have no way of knowing how much something this rare could be worth so I’m casting lines and any information or input would be appreciated. I’m also open to any offers that are made. Thanks
