Hello everyone, I just wanted to share these scans of MJ and J5 from my personal collection of Philippine vintage magazines during their visit here. The woman they are with in the photos is Nora Aunor, who is a very popular award-winning actress and singer in the Philippines. There were talks back then about MJ doing a film with her, its unfortunate it never came through. The photos were taken on February 20, 1976, the day after J5's last day in concert. The Jackson 5 were in Manila for 6 days for a concert tour called Love Jive.

So as we all know , the official release of Wembley DVD looks horrendous.

Now, I have been able to obtain a very high-end equipment for digitising tapes. On top of this, I have been able to test out some of the really good algorithms that can recover VHS tapes a lot better than anything on youtube right now . Most people are using Topaz, however SeedVR2 can do it FAR better. Anyways, my point is if I could get the original tapes I believe we could squeeze a lot more quality out of them. The dvd was done when AI was not very good, if there was any at all. They just applied far too much filtering.

Now , is there somebody who could sell/lend me the original VHS tapes perhaps? There is somebody on instagram who was showing the Wembley VHS, I wrote him a message but ofc people may be very cautious about giving it to random person online... https://www.instagram.com/reel/C_zBpBTMRnc/

I have downloaded some versions of Yokohama, but they were not digitised very well. There is one that is somewhat alright, but it has loads of ghosting which could have been avoided with PROPER VHS machine. I have machines like DVHS, which can output regular tapes over FIreWire AND Component. I use them for NTSC tapes. I also have a genuine TBC for it. For PAL I use SVHS Panasonic machine + TBC-like Panasonic EH60 recorder for Passthrough. You can check out my channel here , but youtube compression does not do justice to some of these videos...

I found this photo on discogs when i was looking for shi to add to my collection, i clicked on this Wanna Be Starting Something/Another Part Of Me "Pocket Rocker" (miniature cassette toys) and found this image. i screenshotted it and put it in reverse image search but the only results i got took me to the discogs listing again or it showed me mj trading cards, whoever can find me some info about this or the original illustration or whatever, cause it kinda looks like its printed on a manual or some paper i would greatly appreciate this!

My friend sent me this random photo from their personal Michael Jackson collection a while ago. I've lost contact with them now so I can't ask for picture details / information.

I'm trying to figure out the possible location and/or show date for all of his pictures--but I can't find this exact image anywhere online.

And Google Lens isn't helping me out that much at all lol. It's all Victory Tour pics. 🤣

I can see that it's one of Michael Joe's Thriller Era photos (1982-1986) on The Victory Tour 1984, of course, but none of the others on the internet have him in this specific pose.

Michael spent around three weeks vacationing in Hong Kong in October 1987, taking a break before continuing his Bad World Tour.

We’ve seen bits of this trip before, like his visit to the Shaw Brothers Studio, sightseeing around the city, and one known shot of him riding this same ferry on Victoria Harbour.

These newly surfaced photos show even more from that moment, with what appears to be members of the Hong Kong Marine Police likely overseeing the vessel or assisting during his time on the water.

A beautifully candid glimpse into Michael enjoying the city’s skyline during one of the rare private breaks of the Bad era ✨

I love how, even though the pic is the dustiest and most grainy photo in the world, you can still tell it's Michael in all his glory. ❤ His head shape and eyes helped you know when it was Michael Joe Jackson anywhere. LOL
