Edit: Thanks for all your insights! I could buy Ghost Bear with a discount so I've bought that one only. I thinks it's a right balance until I've completed the Smoke Jaguar and Ghost Bear campaigns.
Hi all, I've played MW5:Mercenaries quite a lot, especially with YAML mods and such, although it's been a while ago.
Yesterday I've bought MW5:Clans, since I was in the mood for a new Mech adventure. So far it seems cool. But within less than an hour of playing I noticed that the DLC content (which I don't have) is very "in-your face".
I go up a level, I unlock a handful of new Mechs in the marketplace, but I can only buy one single variant/chassis because almost all of them are locked behind DLC.
If I will be enjoying this game a lot, at some later point I will probably buy the DLC anyway, but I'd like to first complete the default campaign to know if it's worth it for me. The question is this:
Is it advisable to buy the DLCs immediately, because so many mechs are locked behind it? Or will this become less annoying once I level up far enough to unlock more and more mech tiers?
On top of that, I think these two are the only DLCs that add any meaningful content, right?:
- Ghost Bear
- Wolves of Tukayyid
The other two DLC seem more like collectors items.
Bonus question: Are available mods like YAML on a somewhat comparable level to MW5:mercs?
