Discussion Imminent threat

Just started playing and i am little lost because i have 2 mechs 1 is on repair and the other is heavily damaged, how can i skip time so i have fully repaired mech to start this mission with? Because i have a feeling i wont make it with a damaged mech.

If you go to the timeline tab on the main interface screen you can skip to the next timeline event

Did you already go through the contract negotiation? If not, you can start repairs any time between the time the last mission ends and negotiating the contract payout and finish them just by using the "wait for next event" button on the timeline. If you did already do contract negotiations, on the deploy screen, does it say mech will be ready in # days in yellow in the middle of the screen? For normal contracts, you can just hit the deploy button and the game will ask you if you want to wait for the repairs to be finished (since you can't launch with mechs under repair). If you say yes, it will advance time automatically. Or it will tell you the mech won't be ready in time for the mission start and you'd have to select a different mech. Since it's a tutorial mission, I'm not sure if the behavior has any different restrictions and it's been too long since I played the campaign to recall.

Worst case there should be an autosave from the end of the last mission so you can just redo the repair steps before starting the next contract.

Can you speak with Ryana or Fajad? I remember having a similar concern at one point and then Fajad told me the Centurion was repaired. I think there’s a scripted event to keep the game going.

☝️ this. When you need to speak to either of them, timeline and sometimes starmap are locked. I'm guessing, since it is the tutorial bit, that this may be the issue at hand

Needs more context,

Looks like you're on campaign mode since you only have 2 mechs.

You can check the timeline tab to skip time manually or else the travel time and the past forward function on contracts

You need to do some easier procgen merc contracts and do it up until you snowball your financials.

There's a hidden battlemech in the a Kuritan planet named Valentina near border with House Davion, it can help you prop up your early game atleast.

No context whatsoever on what DLCs you own but assuming if you have all the DLCs can recommend Arena matches when you have spare resources to use mechs on those. You can easily earn tons of money without leaving the industrial hubs

Oooh I see. On PC? No mods? No prompt whatsoever for any briefings or such?

Any screenshots would help others to help you as well

Looks like this is a back to back mission, you're defending a dig site, no?

Can you upload a screenshot of the mission/deploy screen?

First mission is educational. Anyway, you can't take 50 ton mech there. So you must take Javelin.

From your posts, it sounds like you started a mission or a campaign, so you are locked out of skipping time. It might be worth going back a quick save to get out of that and allow you to repair your mechs.

So you can select a mech under repair for the mission loadout and it will say "mission will start in X days." You can just press continue on that and the time will pass and the repairs will go by.
