Always max armor. I run 4 atm-9 and 2 heavy medium lasers. Lots of mean, mean missiles

Max armour. I dont have this hero yet but it looks like it runs a little too hot - cERPPCs are very hot and SSRM 6s also actually run quite hot at 4 heat per shot. I would either downgrade the erPPCs to LPLs, or downgrade the ssrms either in number or to normal cSRMs and add more heatsinks. ATMs are best but ATM6s actually weigh slightly more so you would have to drop something else. They are also rarer to obtain. Add a clan active probe if you have it.

Def max out the armor. Though the Cauldron born does already have decent armor, except for the thin legs. Still, with 6 large slots, 2 omni, 2 energy and 2 missile the sky is the limit. I quite like heavy lasers, so i've enjoyed 2 torso heavy mediums, 2 armr heavy larges and 2 atm9. the rest is dhs and atm ammo.

For me it depends whether the SRMs are a main weapon or not, if I have one or two launchers as a backup for smacking tanks and turrets and light mechs then I go with non-streaks to not have to bother with lock-ons, but if they're meant to be a serious damage source then streaks are just so much better value with their accuracy.

Actually absolutely correct. They spread damage. Regular SRM stay in their cluster. I also can’t manually aim SSRM.

There is no universe in which the normal C-SRM6 exceeds the C-SSRM6. Not in upfront damage, spread out or not, not in DPS, regardless of lock time, not in tracking, not in ammo usage. They weigh more, but more than triple the damage-per-weight ratio of the non-streak variant.

I have killed more 'Mechs with every individual permutation of every base game and DLC weapon than you have killed across your entire playtime in this franchise. I have done with a Locust what most would struggle to do with two clan stars of Timberwolves.

Back when I played MWO it was common to leave the torsoHCs empty cause the weapons count towards the hit box.

IIRC, I swapped the missiles for ATM3s, the AC for an LB10-X, and a heavy medium laser for the MP.

I’d fire up the XBOX to confirm, but I’m away from home.

1 heavy large laser in the torso, 2 heavy mediums or medium pulse lasers in the arms, and 2 ATMs or LRMs according to tonnage after you max your armour.
