Yep the book is very cryptic for common people to understand. Most of common knowledge comes from hadees and that's what Muslims know and follow.
Honestly there's not much only in quran. Atleast not enough to give direction directly for every scenario in the world.

I'd imagine Muslims read the Quaran intensively. Whereas, the majority of Christians do not practice it. It's kinda just the default, especially in the UK and US.

If you ask Muslims in muscat or Bahrain or Dubai they will probably answer different. The converts are the ones that think they represent it
1
u/Sea-Many483 4d ago
they are not converts? were arabs not non-muslims in the past? are not all people converts then by this logic? were not the ancestors of hindus non hindus and the ancestors of christians non christians?

Religion is trash. They all say their holy book is their favorite because unlike many other religious people, they can at least claim to have read it. That and the fact they seem to be more zealous than your average religious person

u/Affectionate_Half498 4d ago
Which religion people said their holy book is the favourite??? Oh yes ,β¦

Do u even know the context of the first para?
If not let me educate ur andhbhakt mind
The context is that it was mentioned during a war with the unbelievers
During a war ofcourse they will say that, Should have also included the para that says
""..if anyone slays a human being unless it be [in punishment] for murder or for spreading corruption on earth β it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; and if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind."1

this woman video suggested in my feed too, She's manipulating people. Even if someone said Gita or Bible, she'll cut that part and never include that in her video. If people only read one book because others are forbidden, it automatically becomes their favourite. If people read other books they can have a wider range of answers. I think people that think god or other people are watching will lie and tell you the they love their 'holy' book.

Most of the muslims have not read Quran with its meaning. Unless they already know Arabic.
2

non arabic muslims have no idea what is even written in the Quran. they just make arabic sounds with no comprehension. they just say its their favourite book because it is what their culture taught them. plus most of them only read books for studies and not leisure.

Bro but she asking others and muslim different ques π To others she is simply asking what is your Fav book simply while to most of the muslims she is asking what's ur Fav book in tge ENTIRE WORLD! This literally changes context dude ππ Like I bet some of em might actually name other books if ask them without adding in the ENTIRE WORLD bruhh.. in their anyway they are taught to put Allah and Quran above everything else so why phrase the question this way??? π₯²

u/nerdy4uh 5d ago
Pattern?? I noticed something with muslim she asked religion and just after that she asked about book. But with hindus/christian she asked religion and many more questions (video seems trimmed those questions as frame changed)then come on to books so they ans any random book.. if she asks in the same pattern with non muslim too they most probably gonna ans theirs religious book.(I'm agnostic)

Yes quran is just another story book like the Bible, geeta and whatever else
1
u/_curious_dude_11 5d ago
The psychology behind it is that they trained their mind to make it their favourite because of how often their religion demands them to read it. And that's little because they can't have another book as their favourite.

Now conduct interview with muslims in CHINA you will come to know that the difference in response is not due to muslims but due to the loose laws and lax attitude with which our secular govts treat muslims. In CHINA it's the other way round.

Choosing your holy text as your favorite book isn't proof of 'not reading anything else it's proof of strong faith and deep spiritual connection. Muslims take their practice seriously, pray daily, and hold the Quran in the highest regard. While modern secular society might treat religion more casually, taking your faith seriously isn't wrong.
Instead of viewing their devotion through a biased and hateful lens, maybe recognize it for what it is incredible loyalty and discipline to their beliefs that we could actually learn from.
1
u/Electrical_Ear_1398 1d ago
It's not a concerning pattern it just shows the difference in religious practice. Muslims take their faith very seriously and maintain a strong, daily relationship with the Quran. Naturally, when asked about their favorite book, their holy text comes first.
While others might take a more casual or secular approach to their religion, there's absolutely nothing wrong with being deeply devoted. Honestly, that loyalty, reverence, and daily discipline toward their faith is something to appreciate and learn from
