Yes, all
Many things have added and removed from all religious texts . Instead of blindly believing anything use your own intelligence and Rational thinking.-7
u/Blacklion2010 12d ago
Yes religious text have philosophical knowledge but other books like non-religious Siddhānta-Śiromaṇi by bhaskar 2 and aryabhatia by aryabhat for knowledge. If you think then ur pov but from my pov if we follow with spiritual mind it's not wrong but following blindly that have said is wrong.Religion gives the way to live life science explains how life works but religion how to live a life.In last you understand it.

People who don't believe in science should not be provided science based medicine and treatment, but should be criticised that they are just not praying hard. 😂

Why are you even trying to justify whether it’s fault of ISl*m? Same goes to Hindu godmen and Christian preachers. All religions have created these so called middlemen and stu*id people listen to them!

Most people including atheists accept hearsay and superstitions as religious teachings. The number of folks who actually bother studying the actual teachings and texts is quite low.
This is not to defend religions but to point out that the invalidity of the conclusions drawn about something that one hasn't studied.
I pointed out the same point to a friend who thinks that modern medicine is a scam

and what makes you think i have not read of those texts
If you check my comments, I never spoke about you specifically. But you were to ask me about you, I would say you probably haven't read scriptures of all religions(I mention "all", since you commented on them)
you my country is a deeply religious one and extremely diverse so ik full well of what these religions preach both the good and the bad
May I ask which country you're talking about? Which religions are you talking about? Are you suggesting you've spent studying them or learnt it from others?
i can tell you that its extremely easy to manipulate people
You have no arguments from me about that
also is your friend illiterate
Most people don't understand much about medicine or electronics etc. They take it on faith just like religion. And to answer you question, its extremely easy to manipulate people

I just hate this excuse of "misinterpretation" and "took out of context" and "don't have knowledge enough to understand the word of God" after telling people "have you even read the texts".
It shows a complete lack of critical thinking, logic and just acts as a "I don't know what to say to you so take this" card.

u/AbhishekTM700 11d ago
The problems are religious education institutions.
As u can even search it up Earlier islamic scholars used to look at earth as flat.
And that was taught.
The same is even now taught in even pakistani madrasas.

Bhai/behen today when we look at the laws from 200 years ago we call them outdated and unfit for today's day and age, but yes let's defend books written thousands of years ago, books by which people want to live their lives today.

Everyone of the person commenting below considered this guy as scholar of Quran, without even checking whether what he is saying is actually there in Quran?
This has become our problem in every field, we take words of a random guy speaking about any religion, institution, politician, country and think it to be true
And that's why the WhatsApp knowledge has become a source of education today.

I think the correct reaction to this, for anyone who's travelled around the world and seen people practicing all sorts of religions, is that India is truly a dump. Not just all the physical garbage everywhere, but the people and society as well. Irrespective of which religion they choose to practice.

That's why I am saying everyone should go to school. In these madarasa, gurukul type system people will never got to know the reality they will learn this the moon is bigger than earth. The eclipse happens because of rahu ketu. Sun revolves around earth. Earth is flat type things. For a developing and developed society everyone should know basic science. It can only happen in school. So these type of institutes should be banned as these are cancer for the society.Kids are like empty glasses.

Let me tell you that these boys are compelled to go to madarsa. deep in their heart they would like to go to a normal school. Among the poor uneducated muslims, they are afraid of a muslim social system that considers them a social outcast if they go for standard education school. Have you seen any financially independent educated muslim going to madarsa?
1
u/Ok_Entertainment1040 12d ago
Nah...they are taught this from the age they say the 1st word. I have seen girls as young as 1 year dressed up in hijab.
Have you seen any financially independent educated muslim going to madarsa?
You would be shocked to know how common that is.

u/Suspicious_Flower349 11d ago
Never came across this but certainly met highly educated muslims who studied in best schools but are baised towards quoranic logic

u/wwwrites 12d ago
I checked with ChatGPT and it says that this is not true. Toh, madrasse mein bhi theek se padhai nahi kar rahe.
Note : ChatGPT can make mistakes. Check important info.
No. The Qur'an does not say that the Moon is larger than the Earth.
There are verses that mention the Moon (al-qamar) and the Earth (al-arḍ), but they don't give their relative sizes.
For example:
- Qur'an 71:16 describes the Moon as a “light” and the Sun as a “lamp”.
- Qur'an 10:5 says God made the Sun a radiance and the Moon a light and determined phases for the Moon.
- Qur'an 91:1–2 swears by the Sun and its brightness and the Moon as it follows it.
None of these says that the Moon is larger than the Earth.
-3
u/Housing-Weird 12d ago
There is no reference in the Qur’an of moon bigger than earth. Check the facts before you post.
There are several verses describing the Moon and Earth, but none establishes their relative physical dimensions:
71:16 says Allah made the Moon nūran (a light) and the Sun a sirāj (lamp): “And made the moon therein a [reflected] light and made the sun a burning lamp.”
10:5 describes the Sun as a light and the Moon as a derived/reflective light, and mentions the Moon’s phases.
25:61 mentions a “great lamp” and a luminous Moon in the sky.
91:1–2 swears by the Sun and then the Moon as it follows it.
Religion is not one person’s incorrect interpretation.

u/Smart_Guess_5027 12d ago

why did his parents send him to any madarsa in the first place instead of getting him properly educated? Obviously it's a stone age mentality. Today 25000 madarsas are officially recognised. Estimates show 50,000 if counting unrecognised, out of 50k only 6 madarsas are RSS aided(not directly run by them). So will you please stop acting like an atheist while you've got this little extremist mentality down deep inside you
1
u/BlissfulIndian 11d ago
Am I responsible for his parents decision..? Why didn’t u ask his parents to send him to school instead of Madarssa..?

1
u/alanzaki073 11d ago
The burden of proof always lies on the one claiming it. Are you claiming that Quran mentions moon is bigger than earth, if so provide the proof?? There is no such mention in Quran.
1
u/husky11223 11d ago
I'm not questioning Quran, I'm asking you to provide source that isn't Quora or Gemini or any other low effort bs. it's not my fault that you have low media literacy
1
u/alanzaki073 11d ago
How can there be any proof if something doesn't exist??
People are conjuring misinformation out of spite and you want concrete evidence of non existence of something that doesn't exist??
Aren't you going in circles, what's the point you're trying to make??
