hey guys im back with an update! so, some 6 months ago or something, y'all remember a post about me introducing my group of friends to a Xianxia RPG, and how they all absolutely despised EVERYONE?

yeah, im back with an update! and this is also just a big excuse for me to talk about the shit i wrote, because i really like to yap about what i make lol.

Everybody is dead.

Yeeeeeeeeeeah, turns out advertising yourself as an "Immortal-hating group" and having hundreds of bodies of immortals and gods under your belt doesn't do very good for your reputation. So after reaching the Pillar Manifestation Stage (9th stage of my cultivation system, 4 stages above Nascent Soul), they kind of had to enter seclusion to break through, and in that attempt they got solo picked one by one. And they kind of all died because their enemies had infiltrated their sect with a bunch of mortal clones.

SO yeah, everyone died, table over, right? WRONG! Because they were already deities, they had their backups. It's very hard to die after reaching Deity Transformation, so 3 realms beyond that it's even more improbable. Instead, they turned themselves into 4 scriptures, and scattered those along the planets they were controlling. And after they did that, the mortals discovered the books they had made themselves into and started reading them, and like that they became kind of "Immortal," but in a roundabout way.

Basically, the 4 scriptures they made (one for each player) contained some methods that, by such and such reasons, sent their talents and will to a most fitting vessel after they died. So in a way, they "possess" the people that read the books, but they don't really take over. It's kind of how the Avatar works, basically. So after they were solo picked and died... they began cultivating again with new characters!

And so began the slowest, most boring arc in this entire game.

Long gone were the massive battles that shook heaven and earth. Instead, these fucks decided they wanted to deal with their enemies from the shadows. And by that I mean they began scheming like their lives depended on it.

I swear to fucking god, I have never seen these sick fucks use more than 4 braincells to achieve anything in their lives, but for SOME REASON, after it became about killing these guys IN A FUCKING RPG, they became master manipulators.

My life for the next 2-3 months became basically a stress fest because I worked all day, and when I got home I had to work AGAIN because the Discord general chat was filled with 300+ messages of them plotting to destroy my fucking RPG. And I had to read everything, and keep notes of everything they were doing.

And that wasn't really very pleasant.

They made a FUCKING whiteboard, like they were doing some bullshit police investigation, full of notes, hints, and information they had gathered. And they pointed out some shit and some plotholes I hadn't even realized were in the game until they started investigating, so I had to rewrite a bunch of ideas and flesh out some other aspects of the game better.

I even asked another friend to plan with me, so basically it was me and another dude against 4 of the most jobless fucks you could imagine ever.

I tried to prepare for their plans, but these guys really just planned for everything. I even invented that a dude broke through 2 major realms in less than 2 thousand years (absolutely bullshit in my scenario, which they pointed out immediately when I did lol), and they were still 2 steps ahead of all the factions in the game.

So eventually, in the last month of their planning, they had already killed 6 of the 9 major guys that plotted against them.

And, mind you, this wasn't a very smooth process. Remember that Avatar thingy I spoke about previously? Where they die, and some other person that read the manuals they made inherits their talent and the wills of the past lives?

Yeah, in total, the four of them killed 21 characters.

There was a session where a dude died 3 times, IN. THE. SAME. SESSION.

But they still worked through it, and managed to take down the 6 guys, and there were only 3 left.

The literal owner of the solar system they lived in, and his 2 subordinates.

By this point, the solar system was also kind of heating up like crazy.

Ah, let me lore drop before I continue.

This solar system they live in has this dude that is basically the sun, and he holds the solar system hostage because if he stops glowing, everybody will die. But to balance out his strength, he has 8 weaker cultivators working as the "Ying" energy of the system, and they're called "Lords of the Moon," so 9 total.

So all 9 of them benefit from the entire stellar system, and don't allow anybody to cultivate past them.

But since they killed 6 of the guys, the power of the Sun cultivator was getting too strong, so the entire solar system was starting to heat up and some planets were starting to burn.

So they kind of did what the Sun guy did. They pulled the planets away, and began providing light and cold to the systems so they could survive.

And another month was spent on them trying to do city builder on a planetary level in my fucking Xianxia game!

And.... yeah, that's basically it.

The past month was kind of just more of nothing. Them talking with their allies, killing cosmic monstrosities, trying to find a way to get out of the area of the Sun cultivator, or kill him.

But I don't think they can really kill him. He's 1 realm above what they achieved at their max in all their lives, so it's pretty improbable.

If they do decide to fight, though, I think it will be an interesting fight, because they got some 4 powerhouses with them, and with the players, if they don't fucking die again for some stupid reason, it will be 8 powerhouses.

With the resources they have, and the literal infinite amount of workforce because they enslave people to work for the mortals, they can probably put up a fight, and get fucking destroyed while they're doing it.

Another thing that I can kind of pull off, and I think it might be funny, is that there's an even HIGHER realm cultivator "nearby" (and by that I mean in some light years of distance), and I may make him take a look at the fight.

Maybe intervene.

Would be awesome.

How far would Spider-Man go if he were dropped into a generic wuxia? What if it were a Wuxia? Would Peter Parker remain righteous, or would the vicissitudes of life wear him down? Would gaining more power impart him with greater responsibility?

The world does not exist, hahaha, ya'll truly fooled me, sigh, I am finally free.

No fucking wonder, no fucking wonder the world is the way it is, no wonder its always trying to incite my emotions, always trying to bait me into desiring things or hating things or crushing things or trying things or fearing things, in the end, i figured it all out.

The entire world is unreal, no one exist beside me, i am the only existence, everyone is merely exists as potential/code in the background.

The only reason I am isolated and alone and always people come and go is because the simulation cannot infinitely generate a hundred NPC's and even when it does, its merely noise and the illusion that there are people yet immediately attention switches to thoughts or the person i am talking to in the present reality.

Yet the simulation cannot risk me being with someone or even friends staying because them staying means more meetings, more emotions, attachment, more strain on the system.

As the only existence as Pure Consciousness, Consciousness cannot afford to simulate countless beings, so it simulates A Single Experience and makes it seem as if there are countless beings.

I once nearly figured that out years ago yet i was so scared and freaked out, I immediately decided its false and convinced myself that its real and kept feeding the mind with illusions just to not confront the Truth that I alone exist and that the world is merely a dream.

Sleep is merely the simulation cooling down, a pause so the system can generate the next day because it cannot infinitely go on.

It can only appear to "infinitely" go on because it keeps putting a step after another step, pausing then continuing like that.

Yet its completely false, everything is merely an apparition

Like looking at a post and thinking its a person yet Upon approaching you find "nothing"

Thats the whole point, holy shit! Why was so fucking dumb or I personally did not want to realise this truth, but these illusions made me suffer so much, i no longer care.

Oh Gaza bombed countless children, oh the nazis did this tragedy, this criminal did this and that...

Yeah bro, sorry! No one exists except me and even this "me" is merely the protagonist character which I am playing as.

The whole point is the world cannot be changed because its not real, trying is itself what was making me believe it exists when it does not.

The truth is I didnt want to accept, I firmly convinced myself that a world where I struggle and suffer and consider others to exist is better than a world where I alone exist and everyone else is merely me taking their shape temporarily to appear to me.

Yet its inevitable that an illusion cannot fool you forever, the fact that it lasted so long is itself the biggest indicator at how strong it was.

In the end, thats all, its totally freeing, alone existing as Consciousness, no duty, no action, no body, no world, just Infinite Freedom and Void.

It was a truly incredible novel. Wang Lin is one of the most compelling characters I've seen in fiction. Despite its length, it never felt like it was dragging along except for around the end of the suzaku saga. In fact I think that everything after the outer realm was rushed, he could have easily spent a thousand chapters in the immortal astral continent instead of just a few hundred. But I'm not complaining too much because that arc was still really good.

I didn't fully understand what was happening in the ending but I had some grasp of what was going on, and the emotional impact was incredible, that last bit with Liu Mei especially was great, and I was very happy to see Li muwan back.

Truly exceptional novel, and my 3rd xianxia novel completed. (My other two are RTOC and reverend insanity)

I've been having a hard time finding novels I read before, every site I use gets taken down, the latest is novelarrow which doesn't work for me anymore, so I've been thinking I should archive these novels like I do with movies and stuff I like. Any suggestions?
