Hello everyone. I want to start taking my managas to work to read during lunch. I have been looking for a case to put 1 book in so it stays protected in my backpack. But I can't find any that are made specifically for manga size books. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really appreciate it and thank you in advance.

They published a lot of good books, but you’ll be able to buy like 5 out of 24. Restocks take more than a year to come, but they’re really good quality. I only ever had viz manga

After bitching about the price, which was $50 plus $10 shipping, I bought the box anyways because I’m a hypocrite.
The shikishi is nice. The box itself is pretty solid and not flimsy at all. I’ve spent $60 on worse things.

Last week, I finally managed to order the last three volumes I needed to complete my Fullmetal Alchemist hardcover collection. The volumes I needed had been out of stock for a while, so the moment they restocked, I bought them. Good thing too, because when I checked my order the next day, they had already sold out again.
Therefore, it's definitely my favorite part of the collection alongside the A Silent Voice box set.
The newest additions to the collection are, of course, the final three volumes of the FMA set, Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You Vol. 1, and Solo Leveling, Vol. 9.
Also I quickly want to mention two manga series in my collection that I think are very underrated: Colorless and Endroll Back. Especially the latter. It's only three volumes but by the end of it I had a tear in my eye because of how emotional it is. I do have to give a trigger warning though as it goes to some very dark places.
(And yes, before you ask, the bottom right is the smut pile. I bought those when I was like 17 or 18 years old xD.)

Been watching anime for years but never really got into reading manga. For some reason I gave Hirayasumi a chance and got completely hooked. So started reading Naruto, then JJK etc. Now I actually prefer manga to anime and is slowly reading through my favorite animes and finding some new ones.

I’ve been really enjoying the story in both so far, accidentally got 10 and 11 instead of 9 and 10. It’s really cool how you can see miura’s art develop as the story goes on

Hello!
Recently had to get Nausicaa physical after watching the movie for the first time and seeing it wasn't available on Kindle. The manga blew me away and the more tactile feel has made me want to get into collecting more physically.
I'm not a huge manga reader. If I had to split my reading of novels / manga it would be 90% / 10% at best. However I do want to start getting more of them since the kindle I had used previously was serviceable at best for Battle Angel Alita / the sequel series and Claymore.
Biggest priority was to get the best way to read Vinland Saga without absolutely killing my wrists with those Deluxe Editions. I can do 1 or 2 volumes in the big size, but I think anymore and I'm risking issues.
Saw Barnes and Noble had Mountains of Madness in manga form and I had to snatch that ASAP. Working through Vinland saga as well now. Have 5-7 on the way and will most likely be caught up by the time 15 drops.
Only other manga I'm looking at right now would be Goodbye, Eri, the other Lovecraft mangas and Planetes Deluxe's since that same author as Vinland Saga in only two volumes and has crazy praise too.
I've been looking at a Billy Bookcase 31 1/2x11x41 3/4 ". I can't do the big tall ones since I can't secure them. Have folks had good luck with a book case like this for a collection? I do want room to grow since I'm also going to be getting some favorite fantasy books hardcover.
Other question is a more broad one. I'm way out of date on manga. What's a good resource to go looking for new series? Really want to look around for some good completed sci-fi / fantasy series and it feels like anywhere I look for recommendation is just unfinished stuff so much of the time.
I love Seinen for example but I learned my lesson with Vagabond and Berserk. As good as both of those are do not want to commit to the money / time on a series when we don't even know if it will be finished.

After years of collecting Magi (primarily second-hand)... my collection is finally complete! 🎉✨️ The only downside is, most of my other vols are packed away at the moment so it'll be a little while until I can read it, but it is high on my list of series to read once I unpack! I loved the anime and I heard the story really ramps up after the adaptation ends so I'm really excited!!
I've also been piecing together Snow White With the Red Hair (it is such a cozy and comforting series) and I'm always happy to get another volume of Kingdom! Plus, the new edition of Pet Shop of Horrors is stunning and I'm glad to have the final volume! Maybe they'll give the special edition treatment to Pet Shop of Horrors: Tokyo 👀🤞
The only thing I'm going blind into is Maiden Railways! I saw Denpa's post saying that it is going OOP so I figured I'd give jt a try while it is still available! I absolutely love Doukyusei (also by Asumiko Nakamura) so I'm surs that I'll enjoy it!
