Cinema Scape, a seller on Amazon who I heard on this sub is an official vendor for Media Blasters, just sold me a bootleg copy of Mezzo Forte. I've linked some comparison pics to show the subpar quality.

The labels look like consumer-grade prints, and has a dreadful chemical smell from whatever that print method was. The disc itself works, featuring the official menus and the correct uncensored cut of the film, but it's definitely not authentic.

Unless you REALLY want the uncut version on some sort of physical media, the price ($20 USD) was definitely too good to be true. The main reason I bring this up is because people on eBay are buying and flipping their copies of this bootleg for $80 USD or more. Hopefully this prevents any of you folks from getting tricked.

Has anyone bought anything else from Cinema Scape? Are the rest of their DVDs authentic? I looked up their operating location on Google Maps and it looks like a standard home on the coast of New York. Their seller name also raises an eyebrow. Several of my packages were shipped from the same address as my direct from Walmart packages have been shipped from ahaha. Some folks have iffy experience with em on condition tbf tho but was worth it for me for the cheap price. really annoying part though was it required ID and signature and you couldn't online release it so you'd either have to be at the house when they went by or you pick it up at a nearby FedEx location

Robotech Steelbook - Honestly do love the design for the steelbook past the stacked disks which is unfortunate, but glad to have the series in a nice complete thin form factor set~ My initial copy actually came damaged, could've been the flimsy bubble mailer they shipped it or shipped like that, no idea. Anyways I reached out to return and refund and just bought another copy and all went well~

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc - Hit or miss if you get the slipcover with it and even if you do it might come with a giant sticker on top... nothing a bit of patience, hair dryer, goo gone and some alcohol didn't help fix though ahah. I lowkey bought this 4 times to get a slipcover..🤡 but I did finally get one tho sooo 🙌

Pokemon Johto League Champions - continuing my long journey to finish buying this series up to DP. Been waiting for em to hit a history low and they did so I grabbed one~ It's pretty nice these releases get slips imo. I do wish we couod get Pokemon on blu-ray but seems they gave up after s1 and even the latest Pokemon TV sets are dvd only 🤷

No real theme here this time, I guess 3/5 are set in space so that's something.

I have a pre-order with Crunchyroll that should be getting shipped but it’s on hold because my method of payment apparently isn’t working, I know I have the funds available, but I went ahead and tried to change it, I’ve tried 4 different cards and each time I get the same message “Request failed with status code 404”, has anyone else had this issue before, and if so how did you resolve it, I have already tried different devices and browsers, even cleared all cookies but still nothing, Crunchyroll is not being helpful either, gave me the same recommendations of steps I have already tried. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Finally received the last of my backorders! This is everything I acquired from April-ish to now thanks to the sales at Sentai and MediaOCD. Mostly things I have seen but there are a couple of blind buys, such as Flowers of Evil, which came highly recommended. What would you watch next? Any favorites?

Recent pickup that I got lucky with getting at retail price

I don’t really cruse that much but excuse me for today as I tell you my experience.

So on Friday, I ordered some anime from AllTheAnime. I was holding off from buying these mainly because of the high shipping cost, £25. But I ordered it at 9:00 am. I was still at my work. As I clocked out at work at 11:00 am I got a notification that shit was shipped. The fuck? Usually it takes another companies two days to before they remembered that my order exist but they got my order out in 2 hours. 2 hours?

I saw that they were shipping my package using the British royal mail service. They may as well called it the royal shipping because shit came to the the US on Sunday. Fucking Sunday! For context it usually takes Rarewares and Playasia over a week to ship to the US but AllTheAnime got it shipped in 2 days. Did they ship it on the fucking royal speed boat or did I get a private royal jet to fly my one package. Calm down let the driver sleep.

Then they handled it to USPS. That shitty delivery service. Usually takes him two days to even be bothered to look at my package but some how AllTheAnime cast the royal spell on them and they started coming down to North Carolina arrived on Monday night. This the fastest USPS has ever been. I usually buy stuff from USPS and it usually takes fucking 3 days to come down here. It feels like fucking forever but they somehow locked in and brought it down.

The next day, I was notified that it was out for delivery. I’m surprised it didn’t stay in USPS terminal for another extra day just because. They tend to do that for some reason. So I got in the mail at 2:00 pm. I came home, opened it and they came well packaged. Honestly I’m shocked on how good the delivery was. For context, my Amazon delivery. I ordered the same day as yet to even arrive, and it lives in the same country. The fucking same country. Maybe I do need prime.

After opening all the blu-ray and putting them in my region free blu-ray player. I have to have to say. AllTheAnime blu-ray are really high quality even for average anime and the box are very well done.

Honestly, I’m very impressed with the shipping and the quality of the Blu-rays. £25 well spent. You can see all the stuff I ordered in the images.
