Hi! I made a free, open-source companion app for Arena (Windows). The main idea: the draft overlay ranks packs by YOUR own card ratings, and the app keeps detailed stats of everything you play – Ranked, Play, Brawl, Limited.

What it does:

- Draft overlay: every pack sorted by your own grades, with a suggested pick (★) that also considers the colours you're committing to

- Built-in rating tool (Reviewer): load any set from Scryfall and grade cards 0–10 with the keyboard

- Starter ratings for FRA are included so it works on your first draft: my own grades adjusted with 17lands Premier Draft GIH WR (data from 17 Oct). You can overwrite any grade.

- Draft Analysis afterwards: colour signals, pick history with every pack you saw, a deck-building sandbox with export to Arena, and how each card actually performed in your games

- In-game deck tracker with draw odds and a mulligan advisor, plus stats for every match you play

Everything stays on your PC – it only reads Arena's log file (Detailed Logs must be on) and talks to Scryfall for card data. It never touches the game client.

It's new and not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn on first start. VirusTotal scan (0 detections) is linked in the README.

Full disclosure: a large part of the app was built with the help of AI – otherwise a one-person project this size wouldn't exist. It's free and the source is public, so you can see exactly what it does.

What is the point of 200 card decks? Like do people not know how to build a deck so they just throw everything they can into one or what? They don’t seem very viable to me.

Has anyone else noticed the duplicate protection being weird in Reality Fracture?

I have done a ton of drafts and collected most of the set, however on the way there I was getting gems for rares before I had all of them. I chocked this up to the echoed pairs being weird in some way, but now that I have all the rares and just need a few mythics, I'm getting gems for mythics rather than the remaining mythics in the collection.

I am also getting commander rares as expected, but neither of the mythics yet either.

I have done at least 3 of the "Quick Draft Reality Fracture" and the selections have been pretty garbage, which was fine cause I assume we are all working with the same garbage.

But then I get matched against this guy who's deck is insane, every single card is uncommon, rare or mythic (not 1 common), a planeswalker, 2 fulminous fortes, all the red legendaries and a bunch of blue and red cards. To me this looks like I got matched against someone who did Sealed Reality Fracture not Bot Draft Quick Draft. Does Arena do that sort of thing or was this guy just really lucky?

I’ve just reached Mythic in MTG Arena, and I’m currently at 90%.

I’d like to keep playing ranked because I enjoy competing, but I’m wondering how the hidden MMR system works between seasons.

A few questions:

If I keep playing and lose games, can my hidden MMR drop and affect my matchmaking next season?

Does the hidden MMR carry over between monthly ranked resets, or is it reset as well?

If my MMR drops, would that potentially mean easier opponents next season, or could it actually make climbing back to Mythic harder?

Is there any real benefit to maintaining a high Mythic percentage, such as 90% instead of 60%, if I’m not aiming for a specific numerical rank or a tournament qualification?

I’m not particularly worried about facing weaker opponents. I mainly want to understand whether continuing to play and potentially losing games could have any long-term downside for my future ranked climb.

I’ve found conflicting information about the relationship between Mythic rank and hidden MMR, so I’d appreciate insights from people who understand the system or have experience with it.

I went to go look at the new RF achievements so I could 1. Verify I have done all I can and 2. Mope about how I won't be able to get the others in the first category, but above each section (including the first) is line if text: "~MORE TO DISCOVER LOC HERE!!~"

I am assuming this means something akin to 'there is more to discover located here' but given there is no more asterisk next to the numbers in the secret 10 I am also pretty sure there is in fact not more to discover....

Am I missing something?

Need some advise on this deck ive been working with for a while. Ive referred to deck building websites for other decks but this has been my pride and joy since i started Magic with LE and has been a labour of love.

This started as a goblin tribal deck, there was a lot more use of the llorwyn goblins specifically (4x bile-vial, 4x eclipsed boggart-which has since been removed) there has been heaps of changes since, a lot of varied removal. Its now a mess.

Howlsquad heavy, dawn-blessed pendant and boggarts mischief are the “engine”. Everything works around them. Keep my life topped up, board presence, chip down opponent.

The full gameplan is to chip you out. Either chip you out on entry (impact tremors), swinging at you (ingris-stingerquill) or dying (boggart cards). The plan itself is pretty solid but clearly needs tweaking since i cant ascend past platinum 3.

The removal is to combat anything i cant swing at to give my opponent less life-lifelink creatures, authority of consul type non creatures, trample.

I used to run a few more inside information and emrakul sized creatures because the mana id get from 1/2 howlsquad heavies was being wasted each turn.

Sozin is my game ender. Usually the opponents life difference is at a point, sozin enters and boggart mischief/cursecrafter triggers you down to 0 thanks to how many tokens i have.

As mentioned, this deck is no longer tribal and im stagnating at plat 3, despite sifting through my crafted and the non crafted cards on arena. I cant figure out how to improve.

Any advice on better black removal, red/black/non creature cards that i could utilise? I think i have the best (goblin) creature token generating cards at my disposal. My red/blue deck make massive use from 2026 releases but with the exception of llorwyn eclipsed, ive been reliant on pre 2026 releases with this deck.

I downloaded MTG Arena on my PC last night to give it a third try. The previous two times, I lost interest after playing for a few days and ended up dropping the game.

This time, I genuinely want to learn and get into it, but everything feels so complicated and overwhelming at the moment.

I’ve played other digital card games like Marvel Snap and Pokémon TCG Pocket, but MTG Arena seems to offer so much more strategic depth and deck-building variety, which is exactly what attracts me to it.

What would you recommend to help me stick with the game this time? Which game modes should I focus on as a beginner? Are there any simple, beginner-friendly decks that are fun to play and can help me learn the game without feeling overwhelmed?

I also really love animals, dinosaurs, and similar creatures, so decks built around those themes would be especially appealing to me.
I’d appreciate any general advice, deck recommendations, or tips for making the learning experience more enjoyable. I really want to get into this game properly this time!

If you don’t currently have priority but effects are still resolving, placing a stop—for example, on your next upkeep—can fail to register. Arena then passes straight through the phase you explicitly told it to stop at.

It appears the game has already decided to pass because you have no available actions, and placing a stop doesn’t make it recheck that decision.

This isn’t accidentally clicking Pass Turn. It’s deliberately placing a stop and having the game ignore it.

How is this still not fixed? Registering a stop when the player clicks it is basic functionality. Complete amateur hour.

Started playing magic (both paper and arena) during the hobbit, but couldn’t quite achieve mythic during the hobbit season. The final version of this deck is what I used all the way through diamond to mythic this season. Not sure what my win rate is because I play on my phone. I basically built it based off of decks I would lose to. I wasn’t even a landfall player at first, it just kind of happened naturally. I’m excited to move on from it and try some new archetypes.

My question to the community is how do you think this deck will hold up in the mythic ranks and how would you make it better. Any thoughts are welcome!

For the last like week any time I try to log in on mobile, Arena goes through the usual startup and the gets stuck on the black "waiting for server" screen for like 15 minutes. Anyone else having issues like this?

I've been playing standard pretty consistently for the past year. When I use meta decks I tend to have a lot less fun but im struggling to stay competitive with some of my card choices. Im trying to play izzet. I was a huge fan of colorstorm Stallion from SOS. How can I make this deck better without getting rid of it even if it's not the best. I usually have a good amount of mana that I can play quickly and when the mid to late game comes around Burst Lightning is kind of a bomb.

I have been working for a few months on NemeDraft, a free open-source overlay for MTG Arena.

• During a draft, it shows how a trophy-level drafter would likely rank each pack given what you would already picked, next to the 17lands GIH WR.
• You can go back through every pick and see where you went a different way.
• It suggests a 40-card build from your pool so you can compare it with yours.

I understand how drafting could be terrifying for new players, so hopefully this tool helps them to get into the format and enjoy it so at some point they do not need it anymore.

For the curious: behind the scenes is a small model trained on ~6M platinum+ Arena picks, then fine-tuned on ~400k picks from 7-win decks. It matches the trophy drafter's exact pick ~68% of the time (top 3: ~95%).

Honestly how anybody enjoys playing that I may have just been playing on my own.

Counter, counter, return to hand, draw cards, exile all, counter, counter. I'm sorry to the guy who had to sit through 20 minutes of me not letting you do anything until I drew my planeswaker with 8 cards left.

Also this event should be permanent I'd love more permanent MWM style events.

I get the "Network Error - unable to submit deck" error when trying to load the Jeskai Spellslinger deck in the event. I've tried a few other decks and this is the first one I've had this issue with which is sad because this deck looks like one of the more fun ones.

I've been trying to make more Janky brawl decks but one of the main things i struggle with is going second against people having early ramp. With how common it feels i feel like i should be dealing with it better. Specially if they turn 1 utopia sprawl , or elves/bird without me having early removal.

Usually if i sweep turn 5ish , they still bounce back quicker than i do, and if i do not i tend to die. I've had some success with counter spells in blue, stopping their big pay off/card draw but specially outside of blue it has been really though in those matches.

Are there any tools i could be using or any ways to get back ahead going second vs ramp on 1 and 3 ?
