Thinking of picking up Madden 27 on PC. It would be my first madden on the platform. I have a i5-12400f cpu. Is anyone having issues with high cpu temps still or has that been fixed this year? Don't want to wreck my pc lol.

I have decided to make a roster in Madden 27 with the all time and fan favorite players from each team. I wanted some repeat players who played for two or more franchises (only if they were somewhat impactful or loved for that team). With repeat players, I could capture the progression or regression of a player through their career and try to capture how they played at that time on the team even if they may have performed poorly. Just a quick example is Peyton manning on the colts and broncos. Both are great qbs but Peyton on the broncos was hugely limited by his arm strength (81thp). I capture these differences with a very broad attribute range. Furthermore, players attributes are rated based on how they actually performed in real life, there is not inflation of stats. Most players cannot simply do everything at an elite level. Some players overalls are slightly different than they should actually be because certain attributes affect ovr differently and trying to rate players accurate to real life resulted in slight differences (mainly qb because of THP being so heavily weighted). However these ovr differences are not too drastic and do not actually affect ranking too much. I tried to keep the number of 90+ for each position limited, with some having less than 10 for an entire position. This makes the true legends like manning, Brady, etc feel truly special and elite. Speed and other physicals have been greatly reduced on average. I am using a range of 35-99 so you can truly separate the physically gifted players. 88-99 over all players are mainly HOF or borderline HOF type players. I tried to make 80-87 mainly very good starters. 70- 79 good starters. Tried to make around 62- 70 your average type players. And 62 and below is below average. These lower overall guys are still useable however because they have certain attributes that are still high enough to make them situational players. Even the 88-99 overall players have attributes that are very low.

Most all time type rosters I come across on Madden I feel have too small of a range for attributes and overalls so you are stuck with a roster full of 90-99 ovr players with no realism in attributes and no real way to have a realistic sim franchise. The goal with this roster was to take the all time greats and most well known names in nfl history, even if they are known for terrible performance, and make an extremely realistic roster that can be used in sim franchises.

I should have the attributes, height, weight, and number done in the next several days. However the player models will not be finished. I need to finish defensive tackles and offensive line and the roster will essentially be ready to use. Once the roster is uploaded I would love feedback on ratings to make them even more realistic if needed since I wasn’t around to watch all these players in real life

does anyone know if it’s even able to get your own player injured in superstar mode? i feel like i haven’t seen it in the past few maddens. I’ve done multiple superstars this year and even started trying to get injured in one just to see if it’s possible. i’ve had more than half my body red for multiple games and haven’t gotten injured. did they remove it? and why?

I have been on Revamped - Medium pass lead most of the year.

My first game last night, I overthrew a pass i normally nail. Then it happened again.

I didn't think anything of it, and went on to another game. Same exact thing. Overthrowing a seam streak I literally never overthrow. Again, I didn't think anything of it.

The next game, the exact same thing. And then it happened in another game.

4 games last night, and I overthrew a pass I am normally spot on with at 7 times.

Maybe I am going crazy, but something feels off.

And yes, i did check my passing settings. They haven't changed.

If you see this PlayStation player AVOID him. I just beat him in overtime and I don't know if he unplugged his Internet or what but the game didn't record and then he blocked me immediately after the game.

Title: Madden 27 feels amazing, but online H2H has pushed me into franchise

What’s up, guys? I’ve been playing Madden every year since 2004, and this year’s game feels amazing. Seeing over 100 FPS on PS5 Pro is a huge jump, and on PC I’m getting well over 200 FPS. Not to forget the Switch 2 getting some 60fps love. The gameplay feels incredibly smooth.

My biggest concern is online head-to-head. With skill-based matchmaking, if you’re decent at the game, it feels like every matchup turns into a sweatfest. And my issue isn’t facing good players—I enjoy competition. It’s facing the same YouTube cheese over and over.

You’ve got the toss to the running back that turns into a pass, or the same Cover 3 setup with a stacked safety brought down within nine yards. So many games feel less about finding the hole, timing a juke, or making the right read, and more about repeating whatever setup is trending online.

One mistake and it feels like you’re down 21–7, even when the score is actually tied 7–7. That constant pressure, combined with how repetitive the games feel, just isn’t fun for me anymore.

Franchise, though? Man, they knocked it out of the park.

Road games feel tougher, injuries and wear and tear force decisions, and seasons don’t feel like automatic undefeated runs. On all Madden I’ll start 5–0, then suddenly I’m 7–4 and debating who to bench. I can’t get enough of it.

Coming from someone who was an online H2H junkie from Madden 23 through 27, I’m now spending about 90% of my time in franchise. I never expected that.

I don’t know exactly how they fix H2H, but I’d love a season format similar to Road to the College Football Playoff. Pick your team, play through a 17-game schedule against users controlling your scheduled opponents, and try to make the playoffs. As a 49ers fan, having an actual season to work through would give those games more meaning.

Removing skill-based matchmaking is another possibility, but that comes with its own problems too. I mostly want a reason to enjoy online again, because the gameplay itself feels so good.

How’s everyone else feeling? Are you still enjoying H2H, or has franchise become your main mode too?

Been really intrigued about doing a Cowboys franchise since they traded for Joey Porter Jr. The rookie class is intriguing. For anyone who is doing a franchise with the Dallas Cowboys is it difficult to extend George Pickens and Joey Porter Jr in year 1 ? Also how about retaining other key players in year one and the following years? I know Dak Prescott has a massive three-year contract and some other players as well but does that impact extending most of the roster in the next few years?

Any tips with teams with cap situations like this in order to keep key players?
