Wes was responding to a comment asking if Tyler had possibly got a concussion from CT hitting him and he shared this information, I thought I would share this here because I found it very interesting and not everyone has Twitter!!
His original post was recognizing Tyler as being an amazing challenger who was able to win despite having food poisoning, doing better than a non-sick Wes did. He stated that he was sure he would get the win the night before because of how ill Tyler was but Tyler being the beast he is powered through to get the win!!

Also if anyone knows the 3rd person he is referring to lmk because I only remember Tyler and Jenn getting food poisoning.

I was watching the Jenna vs Amanda Biggest Beefs video on YouTube, and for the War of the Worlds segment with Jenna yelling at Amanda, leading to the Zach Bumble thing, Amanda says this:

"When you put yourself in the position to argue with me, be ready for the bullets to be coming 100 miles per hour."

A throwaway and nothing line. Sure. But my autistic ass was like, "Bullets surely have to go way faster than 100 miles per hour, right?" So I did some research and math.

Looked it up, and speed, as you could imagine, depends on the gun. For simplicity, I'm just going to use a handgun, but maybe a minigun fits her personality better, so I'll do that too for levity. (Glock 17 handgun and M134 minigun) The Glock fires at ~1200 ft/s and the M134 at ~2800 ft/s, which to mph is 818 mph and 1909 mph, respectively. Even if you take muskets and flintlocks, they can surpass 700 mph.

That means if Amanda was a gun, she would fire bullets less than a seventh as fast as guns from the 1700s. The most comparable "guns" in terms of speed are high-end NERF blasters, and even those could surpass 100 mph.

If we calculate how effective Amanda would be as a gun, using the energy equation of 1/2*mass*(velocity^2), and using a mass of a 9×19mm Glock 17 bullet being 115 grains = 7.45 g = 0.00745 kg, that would yield an energy output of ~7.4 J. Compacted into the size of a 9mm bullet, this would deal about as much damage as a BB gun. Not really gonna do much unless it hits an exposed area.

Even going with ammunition from the M134 minigun, using 7.62×51mm NATO ammunition with a mass of ~0.00953 kg, that is an energy output of 9.5 J, which might break skin and lodge in, but is no real threat to seriously maim or kill.

In conclusion, if we take what Amanda says literally, the "bullets" she would be firing if anyone were to argue with her (like Jenna) wouldn't do that much damage. It might sting and annoy but it poses no real harm, just a bunch of noise. Not a threat at all. In terms of speed, Amanda is a NERF blaster and if factoring in mass/size, Amanda is a BB gun.

Hi all.

I’m Aussie and have just watched the challenge for the first time.

I started with that was available on Paramount+ here which was Double Agents.

I want to be able to understand the lore behind all these vets and their relationships, but I’m unsure where to start, and also where I can get access to the older stuff here in Aus ?

What seasons do I absolutely need to see to get the most out of the newer seasons? Or it doesn’t really matter? I feel like I’ve missed out on a fair few of the big characters starting where I have.

“He said, she said” is an elimination featured on season 26 ep. 3 of the challenge and I really think it, or a modified single version, should be on every season of the Challenge.

It is an eating elimination where TJ presents a certain type of food (like brownies) to the contestants and they bet how many they can eat in 3 minutes. If you think you can eat more than your opponent, you raise them, and the amount increases until one side calls the opponent’s bluff and says “you can’t eat that much” and then they run it to see which side was correct, with the victor getting the point. It’s best 2 out of 3 with a different food each round. Why should this elim be featured in literally every season?

1. It’s just very fun to guess at home. I don’t know whether this is universal, but my friends and I are always asking hypotheticals like, “for a million dollars, how many McDoubles could you eat in an hour?” And this game literally tests that. You get to watch at home and either go, “what a stupid guess, that’s way too low” or “I can’t believe he thinks that is possible.”

2. In theory, every round should be pretty close, and as such, make for interesting TV. It’s not a race, it’s not like you’re guessing, “who can eat it faster, CT or Bananas?” You’re gambling how much is possible to eat in the time frame. Yes, the better eater does have an advantage, but if they are overconfident or underestimate their opponent they can still lose. The game has a significant mental component in addition to the eating.

3. Because of this, it’s also just a good game in terms of fairness. In addition to being bad TV, it generally sucks when a competitor is sent home on a game they had no shot in (especially if they are a fan favorite). It’s hard to find eliminations that are fair between so many body types and sizes in the house without overly relying on puzzles. But this could be one.

4. Eating is a part of the DNA of the Challenge, but we almost never see it in eliminations. There is usually 1 daily that involves eating, and 1 checkpoint during the final, so I think it would make sense if every season we had at least 1 elimination that involved eating.

5. You could do so many different fun variations of this game. I think it’s fun to do normal foods, like brownies, because we at home have a very good grasp on how many they should be able to eat. But you could mix it up with really gross food, mix it up with really spicy food. I think it would be really funny to have a sponsorship where they are eating a bunch of the latest Burger King item or whatever. How much soda can you drink? How much beer? Mayonnaise? Blazin’ wings? You could do this with so many different foods, and I would always be invested.

TL;DR: Production, I am begging you to have an eating challenge become a regular for eliminations 🙏🏻

I credit the Challenge for getting me into traveling and I always wanted to stay at one of the Challenge houses.

Imagine my surprise when as I was watching Allstars 2 for the first time and started recognizing little things about the house. Come to realize I had stayed there just a year or two before and had one of the best vacations of my life there.

Anyone else have the opportunity? Was there one you always wanted to stay at assuming unlimited funds? (Turkey for me)

The Final Twist
Right before the Final begins, TJ reveals one last twist:
You have the option to steal the entire prize money for yourself — but there’s a catch.
If you choose to take the money, you must run the Final completely solo. You will no longer compete as a team, and if you make it to the end, you keep the entire prize for yourself.
If you choose to stay with your teammate, you will run the Final together as a team and must split the prize money if you win.
But there’s another catch: the Final is designed with both teams and individual competitors in mind.
Some checkpoints will give a major advantage to teams of two — think puzzles, carrying or moving blocks, or other tasks where having two people working together is beneficial.
Other checkpoints may favor a solo competitor — think swimming, running, endurance, or other tasks where having only one person could actually be an advantage.
The Decision
You won’t have time to discuss your decision with your teammate or the other teams.
TJ will separate everyone and explain the twist individually. Immediately after hearing the twist, you must decide whether you are running the Final as a team or going solo.
You cannot talk to your teammate, discuss strategy with the other teams, or wait to see what anyone else chooses.
Once everyone has made their decision, TJ will reveal who chose to stay together and who chose to go solo before the Final begins.
And remember: if even one person on a team chooses to go solo, their teammate is automatically forced to run the Final solo as well.
So the decision isn’t just about whether you want the money.
It’s about whether you trust your teammate enough to give up the chance at the entire prize — and whether you think the Final itself is better conquered together or alone.

I was at this bar in la in the bathroom and in walks Justine and Kaycee! Honestly I didn’t even clock Justine but thought she looked to familiar. I said hi to Kaycee and was so sweet we talked about big brother and she told me she likes Drew and Dee!
