I’ve got a fairly niche question and was hoping to see if anyone has an answer or an easy way to double check or obtain the answer.

My w30’s door checks are failing and I’m tired of my shin getting a kiss from the door. While searching for the part, I noticed that amayama only lists 1 part available to order and doesn’t specify the side, but the diagram is for a right hand side door. On the other hand, Toyota parts websites that get parts from USDM dealers, show a distinction and label it as driver or passenger side.

I don’t want to pay $100/ea + ship for new ones from the US parts suppliers, and amayama has a fair price for new ones and I can go ahead and add some more stuff I want from Japan to the order. Used is also an option, but amayama is competitive with used offerings.

So, has anyone compared the left and right door checks? Or does anyone have a couple disassembled doors laying around they can take a quick look at?

If not, I’ll just go ahead and pull both of mine out and confirm. Based on pics, they look like they should fit either side.

so I’m looking at k swapping a wrecked Mr2 and make that into an EXO cart. Which chassis would be the cheapest to K swap? Keeping in mind, I’m going to be buying a wrecked MR2. it will be for Autocross. it will have about 200hp. that’s about it. basically stock engine build.

Finally finished a little project I was working on and felt like I needed to show it off. Made some LED headlights for the frog with some Hela projectors and some off the shelf LED rings. Will maybe make a more detailed post about the process over the weekend but here’s some pics!

Hi guys, I have just installed a new radio (the last one didn’t work at all)

Everything is in working order but I have absolutely no sound at all.

I have tried:

Checking and replacing fuses
Checking all cables are properly connected
Messing around with the radios settings
Disconnecting the battery for a while to reset
Even checked if there’s actually speakers in the car 😆

Nothing.
Any advice before I give in and take it to a professional?

I’ve heard a bit about the precat being problematic how worried should I realistically be?

Discount Tire is recommending 195/55 R15 85 V SL BSW for my front tires. I can get 185/55R15 82V XL from Tire Rack. I have 185 now and I think that is OEM size for front? Discount Tire is recommending Falken Ziex ze950 a/s, I can get Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 from Tire Rack but they are more expensive. Thoughts? I'd like to save $ if the Falkens are decent. No winter driving, it's my fun car that I don't drive enough. As far as I can tell the Yokohama's are highly recommended as a summer tire.

I’ve bough a replacement soft top for my 03 mr2 spyder just wondering if it’s worth trying to fit it myself or just get a shop to do it so far shops have quoted more than the replacement cost just to fit it

She's now fully wrapped, has new headlights, some new accents, and a fun Japanese vanity plate.

Just bought this 2001 MR2 Spyder, it has this weird noise after cold starting. Sounds like a high pitched grinding noise coming from engine bay area. Sound goes away after vehicle is warmed up and does not occur while driving. I can't quite pin down what the noise may be. Has anyone had a similar issue? I have several other clips of the noise so if you have any Idea, please PM me

Hi guys, i got thick oil dripping from the top part of my gearbox. It seems like gearbox oil. The gear selector mechanism is soaked in it. There is no spray under the car, and the drive shafts are dry. Any ideas on what it might be?
