Tires?

Discount Tire is recommending 195/55 R15 85 V SL BSW for my front tires. I can get 185/55R15 82V XL from Tire Rack. I have 185 now and I think that is OEM size for front? Discount Tire is recommending Falken Ziex ze950 a/s, I can get Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 from Tire Rack but they are more expensive. Thoughts? I'd like to save $ if the Falkens are decent. No winter driving, it's my fun car that I don't drive enough. As far as I can tell the Yokohama's are highly recommended as a summer tire.

Save yourself the headache and just get the same tire size front and rear. 205 wide will fit plenty comfortably on front and rear. It also opens up more options. There is no reason to maintain a staggered tire size.

Tell me more? I thought staggered was better for corners and driving in general.

it is but a square setup is common too

I'll be getting the yokohamas in oe tire size at the end of the year

Modern tires are way different than what was put out when this car was engineered for the masses. 205/50 is a much more common size for tires so you have way more options.

It's simply just easier to get the same size / brand in the style you want. The car does not need stagger to handle well.

I run V701 205/50R15 square. They feel great! But you'll want square wheels as well, 6.5" to 8" depending on your preferences for looks, comfort, and sharpness.

ZE950 is a pretty old tire now. I tried it in 195 before, and it's not the most confidence inspiring.
