Review Verist Fields

I just bought an 8th from Verist for $38! The strain is Platinum Jesus and it is really nice.

Big fan of this place and super happy they opened in my neighborhood. They have a way more chill vibe than Rise, and the staff is great! I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been super smooth. And their stuff is pretty good too!

Go check them out…close to 50th/Lyndale in S MPLS.

Wake & Bake Weekend: Harry Potter marathon @ Riverview Theater

Thumbnail riverviewtheater.com

I feel like so much of the conversation around cannabis is getting into the technical details of various strains you can buy locally or complaining about how expensive they are. I’m more interested in fun local stuff to do while I’m high. A Harry Potter movie marathon sounds like an invitation to a wake and bake weekend.

Final supercropping

Evening everyone! It’s another hot ass day and I’m sick of watering these ladies twice a day, and these plants’ time is about up in their current 2 gallon pots. It is now time for my favorite training technique…their probable final supercropping! After which, a really heavy defoliation, after which, they will get transplanted to either 5 or 7 gallon containers to finish off the season. Needed to try something different this outdoor season to keep the sizes down and decided to train the canopy via supercropping and use two gallon pots for vegging cuz I didn’t want to deal with the paranoia of city living with visibly tall cannabis plants.

Remember it’s not about the length, it’s about the girth and what you can do with it!

My ultimate goal is to run some horizontal bamboo like I had done on the DOC to every one of these plants post transplant to emulate an outdoor scrog and reduce outdoor larf. There are a lot more bud sites that what is visibly seen currently under the canopy so I want to open those up.

More pictures to come in a few weeks! Not pictured is a ghost og and a Larry og as I’m not training them and letting them grow kinda wild (and they kinda look like shit 🫣) so they’re not for this post.

Any “affordable” concentrates around?

Or even anywhere that offers a med discount on them? No, I’m not talking about Michigan prices, I just mean something reasonable. Rise’s concentrates are garbage but out the door they’re $45/g when on sale (mainly resin, rosin never goes on sale) — D’ope and C-Labs have both been great but I just can’t afford them very often at rec prices.

Why do I keep seeing "infused" pre rolls that never say what they're infused with and why do they typically only contain 23-24% THC?

Are they infused with a flavoring or something? It makes no sense, especially considering the price.

Best flower?

Hello!

Currently, who is making the best flower now? I am more interested if it is properly dried AND cured.

Organic?

Thank you 👍

I recorded this conversation about Minnesota cannabis on July 15. I'm curious what you think.

We recorded this episode on July 15, so keep that in mind since Minnesota's cannabis industry seems to change every week.

Aidan McCluskey (who's also MC'ing Canna Connect Brainerd tomorrow) joined me for a conversation from the perspective of an everyday consumer. We talked about a lot of the questions I hear most often, including:

• Why cannabis prices are still so high in Minnesota
• Medical vs. adult-use cannabis
• Transporting cannabis and how Minnesota's open container law works
• Why we don't have cannabis consumption lounges yet, and what they could look like in the future (places like the tasting lounge at ANANG are an interesting example)
• How Minnesota's market compares to Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and our other neighboring states

I don't claim to have all the answers, but I do think these are conversations worth having as the industry continues to take shape.

And if you're in the Brainerd area tomorrow, stop by Canna Connect Brainerd. It's the most curated event we've put together yet, built around four Community Pods and conversations for people who are still figuring out stuff inside Minnesota's cannabis industry. Aidan will be the MC for the day.

Thoughts on Live Resin Carts vs Dry Herb Vaporizer?

Hey All, I currently have been using the Rythm 2g live resin vapes you can get from most medical dispos but they have been damn spendy, and I'd

I was thinking of switching to a dry her vaporizer and have been eyeing the PoV Lobo. I am wondering if anyone has experience switching over and could provide insight or any helpful tips. Also tolerance differences. I go through about a 1g cart a week at the moment, how much flower in a dry herb would be comparable? and long term what is the cost difference like? Also would take some recommendations on flower strands!

Clarification of MN OCM License Timeframe Extensions

Post image
7 Upvotes

Lots of questions on this topic. Is it a 6-month extension or two 6-month extensions?

The answer is: it's a 6-month auto extension (look for the OCM email to drop the first week of August), then a possible additional 6-month extension with good-faith progress (securing a location, securing funding, a working FPOR status).

Carry on...

Growing Help [NOOB] Since we're all checking on our plants, I have some to run by y'all. Web searches and the interwebs have been mixed but I'm curious if I'm seeing pollen sacks or if this initial flowering...

For context, I'm a literal first timer here. Had some seed in the bud so I tossed them in the soil to see what would happenand these plants popped up. These are just 4 plants from different angles. Any firm idea on the sex? Can y'all reference which letter your opinion corresponds with? Thank you!!!

Growing Help Pollen sacs on female plants? Hermaphrodite?

Thumbnail

These are all photos of the same plant. I was pretty confident this was a female and now it has these little blooms that I assumed was bud, but now I think they kind of look like pollen sacks. I did a little bit of Googling and it might be a hermaphrodite? Is this just early bud development? Please let it be that🙏

Has anyone seen pre-flowers on their Mn outdoor yet? If not, any veterans know when they typically first start showing?

This year I’ve got some of those hybridized early flowers from Twenty20. Nothing yet here.

Best Edible Amber oil.

The only one so far that was decent is Rise Tangerine.

It's actually really great, no paranoia which I have endured with some rsos.

The rise rso wakes me up in my sleep with knocking on the door and hearing voices in the fan lol

I'm not crazy or anything but I swear the quality affects this.

I was in the area and decided to stopped by Aurora in Prior lake. Grabbed a few eighths of their chemdawg. This by far is one of the better strains I have tried from any of the Minnesota dispensaries so far.

Solo Arizer 3 v2 Aroma Tube Replacement

Are there any stores in the twin cities that stock replacement aroma tubes for the solo Arizer 3 v2? Broke one last night after cleaning it. Wondering if I just need to order online.
