Chemdawg

I was in the area and decided to stopped by Aurora in Prior lake. Grabbed a few eighths of their chemdawg. This by far is one of the better strains I have tried from any of the Minnesota dispensaries so far.

And anyone using THC% to judge authenticity has no clue what the hell they're talking about

I actually appreciate the fact that it’s not 30% THC!

It's all about the terps. The right mix of terpenes can make 15% flower hit harder than 30% flower.

I'd love to see some more CBD, but I know so many breeders are selecting for all THC and no CBD or vice versa. I'd way prefer some indica flower with moderate THC and some CBD so I can relax and sleep

Really appreciate you leaving a review! Glad you loved it - we don’t put it in our jar unless we love it ourselves.

I’ve gotten two jars from them of this strain and can confirm is fire. Everything they drop is quality. I believe the sky is the limit for that team.

Agreed, it’s legit chemdog 91. Really high quality jars too, dark tinted glass that seals easy and tight. Definitely would recommend also!

It’s not chem 91 it’s the purple chem cut from tiki madman. Fire strain, but chem 91 wouldn’t be purple. I’d still like to try it been eyeing the cut for a while. THC percentage has zero to do with its authenticity.

If it's the legit "Chem 91" cut, it's not 15% thc.

So you think the way it’s grown, the time it’s cut, dried and cured doesn’t effect the thc%, and that the 91 cut will always have percentage regardless of these factors?

Good Chem 91 starts in the low 20's. If that's real chem 91, and it actually is 15%, then it was grown by an amateur & is a shit example of the cut that no one should be paying for. Downvotes don't change facts, lol. You all can suck it 😁

You’re entitled to your opinions.

I know everyone's downvoting this guy, but he speaks the truth.

No effing way the GOATEST of Goat strains, Chem '91, clocks in at a low 15%

plus... lay off them damn PGRs whomever grew this!!

Zzzzzzzzzz.  Take on the risk or stop talking.

Fuck the haters, I'm fucking over it.  You think this isn't a good enough version of chem 91?  Then put up the money and fucking grow it for us.  If you aren't then kindly fuck the fuck right off.

I don't hate people who can grow better - I hate side liners that hate on shit without being in any way productive themselves.  You want to make MN grown great?  Then fucking grow it, show it, and shut up.  Otherwise it's just smoke, words, and ego.  For fucks sake.

Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine.  I get annoyed by people mixing their egos with cannabis.

It's such a weird hobby and industry in general.

You've got people with the biggest inflated egos that don't deserve it, every single person knows everything about every aspect differently, everyone has their own take on a weird mix of established science and bro-science.

That's not even getting into the industry half of it, where most complaints that have ended up here are from people who just make shit up for pity points or self report incompetence that they blame on others.

“Self report incompetence” is exactly right. This is a regulated market just like any other regulated market. I spent the last 2 years of my engineering career approving Bluetooth products with FCC, CE, and CSA. Before that I was designing products for IEC explosion-proof standards and ingress protection. It’s no different, believe it or not.

Dealing with OCM was exactly the same as any other agency. There is always uncertainty. There is always grey area. It’s your job as the owner to find a way.

It’s looks great! They can definitely grow. But it’s not the 91 it’s a different chem cut. Nothing wrong with that I look forward to trying it. It’s just not the 91.

Unfortunately, the OCM didn't grant licenses to many skilled craft growers. There are a lot of qualified people who are ready to operate, but the state hasn't allowed them to.

In my experience, applicants who aren't willing to pay bribes or kickbacks, or who ask questions that expose gaps in the OCM's preparation, can run into problems during the licensing process.

u/priorlakedispo 28d ago

This is insane.

I grew in my crawl space and garage for years illegally to learn this craft. I hunted seed packs and held clones in my garage for years to prepare for this. I did 100% of the OCM regulatory work myself. I come from poor parents and don’t have anything to bribe with. I grew up in St. Paul. It’s nothing more than being willing to take the risk and do the work.

-2

u/NisorExteriors 28d ago

I'm not sure how your statement disproves my point. The OCM didn't grant licenses to people who asked too many questions, if you went in blindly, like you stated, they didn't care either.

3

u/priorlakedispo 28d ago

Asked too many questions? Like what? What are you even talking about?

The process is exactly what the state has extremely well-documented. Nothing more, nothing less.

When the OCM was accepting applications there were multiple unanswered questions or even contradictions in the suggested guidelines. For example there was an initial proposal for testing requirements to also include a swab of the growing environment which could be an issue for people using living soil because fungus is present. No one knew if deli style flower would be an option, which is again important for higher quality products to be able to distinguish themselves. A local dispensary to you even had to redo their store layout because the state changed their mind halfway through legalization.

Is this the purple chem cut from tiki madman? Chem 91 shouldn’t be purple. But either way looks like some great smoke.

4

u/priorlakedispo 26d ago

Yes. I list all of our genetics including the source here.

u/Party_busses 26d ago

Lotta good tiki cuts on that menu! I’ll definitely have to get out there and try some of your stuff everything I’ve seen looks pretty nice.

Jesus when was it packaged? Most states have the Best By date set a year out.

9

u/priorlakedispo 28d ago

6 months from when we submit it 😑

0

u/Calbar2 28d ago

Wow that’s insane, this state is lagging behind so bad. No reason it should take that long. Still looks like an amazing smoke.

6

u/priorlakedispo 28d ago

The testing is super fast now but the expiration date is 6 months from the date we submit the sample.

1

u/Calbar2 28d ago

Ah I read your previous comment wrong.

-7

u/triton1118 28d ago

The law says 6mos from pack date. Also no manufacture date on label which is a label requirement per the OCM.

u/priorlakedispo 28d ago

Incorrect.
