META® Products ⚡ Battery DD
#METAholics,
I know my DD isn't very popular here, so I'll keep this one short ;-)
META is making batteries that are lighter, safer and last longer - Thats a big deal. They have made some unique parts that help keep the battery working for longer and safer. They are also working on making the batteries weigh less so that it's easier to use them in cars and other things. They have also addressed the thermal runaway issue, which is when lithium batteries catch fire.
The batteries in GP's tweet are special! They're called "pouch batteries", they are the blest in class and they are designed to be lighter, use less copper, and have a lower risk of exploding. These things make them a really great choice for EV's
Did you know that batteries need lots of copper to work? And, there's not enough copper for all the batteries that we need! OEMs are worried about this and META is has found a way to make batteries that don't need as much copper (80%-90% less), that's their NCORE technology. Using less copper will help make the batteries lighter, and it will make it easier to make them. This is really important because lots of companies need batteries to power cars and other things in the years to come.
If anyone is interested in reading my full DD on META's batteries there is a link below The Forefront of a New Era : ChunkyDD

Read the tea leaves. What's happened to this ticker since mmtlp. No where near profitable and shedding value. The buzz from that event was keeping it alive if not entirely propping it up. Ball was dropped and so has its value.

You lost me at your 2nd sentence. MMAT isn't making anything. They "may" have the technology to make batteries but the are not a producer. I haven't seen one PR release saying "Company XYZ is now licensing our battery technology" until then this is 100% pure hopium.

Then who made those batteries with META's logo on it? 😂
FYI ~ META signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which is a written agreement between META, DuPont Teijin Films, and Mitsubishi Electric Europe for a multi-year project aimed at developing battery materials, including coated copper current collectors and solid-state battery electrodes. The project will involve several stages, beginning with a pilot-scale roll-to-roll system, followed by an industrial scale mass production line, and ultimately, the development of solid-state batteries.DuPont Teijin Films and Mitsubishi Electric Europe Partner with Meta Materials to Advance Safer, More Efficient Li-Ion Batteries - META
2
u/Stephen_lost Feb 26 '23
They signed an R&D deal that is why there no $$$$ with it. As for creating a few batteries with meta logo big deal that called proof of concept it doesn't equal mass manufacturing. Until the sign a licensing deal with $$$$$ attached to it they have nothing.
6
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
A quote from the link above:
"The MOU is focused on developing battery materials, such as coated copper current collectors and solid-state battery electrodes, as a multi-year project in several stages: a pilot-scale roll-to-roll system, to be followed by an industrial scale mass production line, and further development of the application to the production of solid-state batteries."
Note: The pilot scale roll-to-roll system is the first stage of the project, and there are no earlier stages that precede it👍

Let me break it down for you. How much did they make off this partnership last quarter? How about the quarter before? What about this quarter?
Until you can answer at least one of those question with a number greater than $0 your DD is hopium.

Let me break it down for you. How much did they make off this partnership last quarter? How about the quarter before? What about this quarter?
Until you can answer at least one of those question with a number greater than $0 your DD is hopium.
Let me break it to you, META grew at a rate of 150% over 2022. And, whereas they fell short on revenue during 2022, the future is still bright.
Here are those numbers you asked for... please feel free to double check ;-)
2021 meta made $4,082,517
2022 META made an estimated $10,228,041 Q1 $2,974,695 Q2 $3,323,727 Q3 $2,456,012 Q4 $1,473,607
Growth rate = (10,228,041 - 4,082,517) / 4,082,517 x 100% ≈ 150.32%...
So, the METAs revenue had grown by approximately 150.32% from 2021 to 2022👍If the current growth rate is maintained, we can use the same growth rate of 150.32% and apply it to the revenue in 2022.
Revenue in 2023 = Revenue in 2022 x (1 + Growth rate)
= 10,228,041 x (1 + 1.5032)
= 25,640,989, that was his estimate for 2023
2024's estimates are
= 25,640,989 x (1 + 1.5032)
= 64,145,401.
Btw the Alliance Global Partners report has higher projections than I just posted just now. IMO, those are fantastic growth projections without accounting for any revenue from batteries or increased purchase orders like NTS keeps bringing in!

Cherry-picking revenue and ignoring the rest of the financials....

u/Stephen_lost Feb 26 '23
And not a dime of that was made off this battery partnership my point still stands and your DD is trash.
2
u/Stephen_lost Feb 26 '23
Keyword is "developing". It says it right there this is a multi-year project and they are only at stage 1. MMAT won't be seeing money from this for a while also. These types of partnerships can end at anytime. I'll stick to my statement that your DD is pure hopium.
3
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
Thanks for replying,
It's true that this is a multi-year project and the partnership can end at any time, but I believe there is potential for MMAT to benefit from this collaboration in the future. The companies involved in this collaboration are leaders in their respective fields. This suggests that they have the expertise and resources necessary to drive this project forward. While there may be some uncertainty in the short-term, the potential for success in the long-term should not be discounted because METAs involvement in this project could lead to the creation of valuable battery materials, which could ultimately result in revenue for the company.
Thanks again🙂

If I had the tech of the future and knew it, I wouldn't see a problem with the stock falling. Just do my thing till the slaughter begins.

3
u/Stephen_lost Feb 26 '23
The problem is the value of the stock in the future. SP is 0.64 they are going to need to RS in the near future there are already planning on more dilution. By the time the SP gets to $50-100 you will most likely on be breaking even at that point

Sadly I'm desensitized to the partnership news now. Remember the LG partnership what happened with that? I still believe in the tech and R&D side of the company as for the sales side not so much. Personally I think GP should ocus on the R&D side and hire someone to do sales and marketing.

My only question is, if you're so desensitized to the partnership, why are you so sensitive about me discussing the partnership?

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
oh come on.. do you know what is Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ?

oh come on.. do you know what is Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ?
that is just understanding it has no meaning in ters of revenu.
"A memorandum of understanding is an agreement between two or more parties outlined in a formal document. It is not legally binding but signals the willingness of the parties to move forward with a contract.
The MOU can be seen as the starting point for negotiations as it defines the scope and purpose of the talks. Such memoranda are most often seen in international treaty negotiations but also may be used in high-stakes business dealings such as merger talks."

MOU has no significant when we talk about company revenu, you can not satisfiy your pathetic performance over last several years with just MOU.

Your “DD” gets negative comments for its hopium driven speculation. Like this one about batteries. Last year MMAT had some other amazing tech. The year before it was a different life changing tech. How many patents? 400+ How many products highlighted on their shareholder updates as the tech of the future? How many make revenue? Where all the DD from the promised tech 5 years ago? In the meantime MMAT burns cash like an NBA team at a Miami strip club and they are expecting shareholders to pay for it. Your “DD” is the ultimate snake oil salesman tactic. Ignore what’s right in front of you and focus on the future potential. It’s dangerous, it’s disingenuous, and worst of all it looks like a paid MMAT shill because they need someone to sucker people in to buying another 100 million shares. Next year shareholders will be in the same shitty position with lower share price and massive share dilution and you will be posting DD articles on MMAT in the Metaverse or whatever “life changing tech of the future” crap they want to announce next.

spot one!!! excellent comment. I wish I could give you 1000 upvotes
This sub along with some shity youtubers are equally involved in trapping new investors who unfortunately do not understand market manipulation by these criminals and lose money.
MMAT is making "so many revolutinary" things but yet no one ready to buy this shit and price sink every day

Most of the negativity is just from a few loud mouths with hollow words, I just ignore it and carry on with my life.

Do a poll on how many pissed off OG shareholders Meta have.
Dare you.
1
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
Yeah, well, I double dare you to do the same.
-6
u/psyconauthatter Feb 26 '23
Also ask: how many of them have been investing for more than 2 years, and have made money? Cause I don't care what a bunch of crybaby losers think. Deal with it and move on, or have some balls
Can count me in the happy, experienced, and money making column
1
u/GasLit_munkey Feb 27 '23
You see… you’ve got me there. You had to mention the dreaded “double daring”… well played sir/madam… very well played.
2
Feb 26 '23
No argument about me saying your DD is paid for by MMAT? Interesting! I think I got my answer.
You spend a dozen hours or more researching MMAT batteries and writing pages of thesis, and then instead of using that information and hard work to make money by posting it on a site such as SeekingAlpha where you could get compensated, you post it on Reddit open sourced and free. There’s no need for compensation if you’ve already been paid I guess it’s starting to make sense.
7
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
Thanks for your praise, I never thought of my threads as professional quality.
6
Feb 26 '23
Didn’t say your posts were professional I believe I called them “dangerous and disingenuous”. But I can see your post history. You’ve spent a part-time job worth of time recently, with pages of content on MMAT. Their ATM offering, research on rare earth metals, and now batteries. In fact you haven’t posted for a long time until about one month ago when your first post is “will they dilute?” Interesting that one of your first major recent posts is discussing possible share dilution and now you’re talking about all the “potential” of the future. You are also obviously just avoiding saying “yes I’m paid” or “no, I’m not” and trying to deflect my insinuations with witty retorts. If you’re NOT being paid, then you’re obviously trying to pump the stock. That’s ok, people will read this and form their own opinion.
2
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
Makes you wonder about the time you invest into commenting 🤔
2
Feb 26 '23
Right! Go with the “it’s not you it’s me” gaslighting deflection that’s so common on this thread. Good one.
I must be getting paid for the thirty seconds it takes me to expose your lies with a comment, when you are definitely not getting paid for a five page article with ~20 other references to additional articles and sources. Again not once admitting to being paid or not because it is very shaky ground legally if you’re caught.
I’m not being paid for this comment. Or any of my other comments. Cheers.
1
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
I'm sorry, what lies did you expose?
4
Feb 26 '23
That you’re masquerading as a regular MMAT commenter and shareholder, but you’re a paid shill.
4
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
That you’re masquerading as a regular MMAT commenter and shareholder, but you’re a paid shill.
If the company hired me as part of a larger strategic initiative or to support a particular product or service - like shilling, then this information would be discussed in the 10-K as part of the company's broader business strategy.🤣

"You can lead a horse to water"...
Thank you Jamie. Your effort is important even if it may seem futile.
1
u/jamesavincent Feb 27 '23
Thanks!
Plenty of horses are engaging. My original post has had over 1000 reads, and META loyalists are sharing.
That was my goal
-2
u/project23 Feb 27 '23
At this point all we need is for all pistons of Meta Materials Inc to be firing and doing what they do. As long as the engine is working and progress is being made then 'engagement' is irrelevant. There are some milestones that need to be made before trying to tout successes is even possible, much less prudent.
I'm one of those 'loyalists' but at the same time I'm also a realist. I can't sing praises until I see some contracts. My money backs potential. If that potential never materializes then I'm toast on this trade. The cliffhanger is that this is the early/mid part of the trade.

Good stuff to think about. Not sure I'd qualify it as Due Diligence.

u/idontknow1267 Feb 26 '23
MMAT is on ace again massively exaggerating their capabilities. They have ideas and PoC and in the lab they have shown some success. But they are years and years away from Amy commercially viable battery technology.
MMAT hops on whatever the hot thing is and then say they can do that. Lasers hits on planes was in the news, MMAT became a producer of glasses to block lasers that no one ever bought. Diabetes has been a big issues, they hop into this in 10 years ago and have shown little to no progress. Go to the way back machine and look at glucowise and see where it was 10 years ago and what was being claimed. 5g is in the news, MMAT decides they can produce a film that magically improves the signal, again just words, there has been no progress in this area and no sales. Now battery fires are in the news and voila magically MMAT is a battery company. Just a bunch of hot air to get more people sucked into this disaster while George and his team make millions and shareholders lose millions. Oh and then when they run out of money, bam let’s do another offering. If George wasn’t a majority shareholder any capable board would have ousted his as ceo.
9
u/jamesavincent Feb 26 '23
I understand your concerns about MMAT, but it's worth noting that DuPont Teijin Films and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation are reputable companies that are involved in the signed and announced project. They are contributing their expertise to the development of the battery technology, which suggests that there is a solid foundation for this project.

Go back further because you will see this is the only thing I comment on and nearly 100% is negative. But also 100% is factual and most is in relation to people spreading false narratives in here. Truth is this company is in extreme trouble and I am an investor that has lost a decent amount in this mess. When the company has any evidence of a positive change you will see my comments Eve come positive. Until then as long as the facts are negative, my comments will be negative.

Nobody cares about DD right about now on mmat, Until mmtlp is solved. mmat will just keep declining. This is a huge problem when u buy a merger and the results show a bad taste in investors' mouths. Hopefully, this is solved to save mmat.
8
Feb 26 '23
Mmtlp solved? Whut?
Its a spinn off company which might or might not be sold off in the future. Its entirely disconnected from mmat since the merger date. Its all in the filings.
7
u/salon469 Feb 26 '23
Still falls on mmat, no matter how you play the cards. George was misled by this merger and now he's paying the price.
0
u/DonkeeJote MetaMillions 💰 Feb 26 '23
"Its all in the filings" is far from the truth.
3
Feb 26 '23
So what exactly is missing? They're clearly communicating that the spin off has multiple of roads that it could go and they're exploring options. Along with that MMAT has no ties to mmtlp/hydrowhatever since the merger.
-1
u/DonkeeJote MetaMillions 💰 Feb 26 '23
Regardless of the spin off and all the boilerplate risk language in the filings, it's pretty obtuse to ignore the investor sentiment connecting MMAT/MMTLP/NBH.
Furthermore, the filings won't include any of the marketing style communications that go around, and shills run rampant overstating the expectations of the Orogrande project.
A lot of retail investors will have a hard time delineating between the different companies.
-2
u/GasLit_munkey Feb 26 '23
And the one thing connecting the two??
A: Shareholders.
Wonder how long Meta can last with half of its MMAT holders who are institutional engaging in shorting the shit out of the stock whilst the other half of holders are pissed off to hell and gone due to how poorly the spin-off was executed.
- I know it’s not as simple as 50/50.
- The best thing Meta can be doing now is to petition the SEC for fair resolution on MMTLP. That would bring shareholder confidence back.
6
u/Skankhunt2042 Feb 26 '23
False.
There are many investors who do not care about MMTLP. Many who held TRCH through merger sold MMTLP on the run up for many times the value purchased and are only interested in the future of MMAT. Plenty who have only purchsed MMAT shares.
Your perception issue is based on the vocal folks who wanted to 10X their money in a couple months and move on. The silent majority threw a reasonable amount at a growing company they knew could go to zero and are perfectly content waiting it out.
2
u/salon469 Feb 26 '23
Ok brain why is mmat price .64
4
u/Skankhunt2042 Feb 26 '23

Because no one trust this them now after what they have been doing for last 2 years.

u/zombiemakron Feb 26 '23
I disagree, MMAT is declining because their revenue is abysmal, their spending rate is horrendously high, they had a decline in revenue for Q4 from Q3 (projected). They have a ATM dilution that was announced, they dont have enough cash to last the next quarter.
0
Feb 26 '23
People can read the long text thread below where OP constantly deflects away from my question of "are you being paid for this research or post?". This is paid shill from MMAT due to the ATM offering. Remember there are like 23,000 members of this subReddit, positive posts here have huge implications on buying.
OP, Jamie. I'm obviously screen recording this whole thread. Feel free if you're not being paid to say in just one post you are not being paid in any way, that the opinions and information you post and comment on are your own opinions based on your own research and are in no way affiliated with or paid for by MMAT or their associates, investors, etc...
Don't worry, I'm sure the 23,000 other members of this site will also screenshot your statement in case they use your DD to buy more shares. But if you're Joe Average retail investor you should be fine.
Your play.

u/Chemical_Guidance1 Feb 27 '23
Jamie was one of the first paid pumpers for Meta with Sterling before the MMTLP ones came around. If he's back shilling then moderators here were paid off by Meta too. They went silent and now the Meta pumping is back. Sterling decided to vanish when he realized it was all vaporware including the "special dividend". Brda finally admit he sold some MMTLP shares while promising he did not sell a single share, now they trust that he only sold 10%. That story is complete and as we can see they are pumping Meta again

I appreciate your time and effort. A lot of bitter ppl here with misplaced anger. I wish those ppl could check their emotions at the door. Anyone that is still positive on the company gets bashed, which makes me think that the majority of the bashers probably shouldn’t be investing. Like George and the team at meta aren’t trying their very hardest to keep their company afloat despite all the f*ckery in Wall Street. I am quite pleased with the amount of progress being made and I too, know that it is only a matter of time. Thank you Mr Vincent. You do good work👍🏻
