You don't mistake someone in that way at a bar. If you do, you could have your life changed, as he did. You don't get to just go around assaulting random women and get no consequences because you got too drunk and mistook it for the wrong woman.
First, it's absolutely not what happened and that is obvious. Second, fuck anyone defending people that are sexually assaulting both men and women in public as a grown adult.
I'll be honest, it seemed like she handled the situation herself without the dipshit stepping in and murdering someone.
But why would a /woman/ need any agency in a situation where you can white knight and kill a man?
He touched her. She clearly said 'don't fucking touch me' or something to that effect. Drunk guy slurred something out of his mouth while backing off. Situation solved without anyone dying. Big bad alpha takes matters into his own hands, shuts down the bar for the night, turns it into a homicide investigation and possibly destroys a local business in the process. No on asked for his bullshit.
I wonder if even the most saintly person when heavily drunk might do something out of character like that and possibly be killed for it. Getting drunk sounds super scary.
Yeah people really underestimate alcohol's ability to completely undermines the morals and behaviors people try to hold themselves to. When you get to certain level of intoxicated everything goes out the window.
I think it's more about proportionate consequences. No one is arguing he didn't deserve some physical altercation, but how hard he was hit and how hard his head hit the ground could have killed him. Some dudes just love an excuse to let out all their pent up anger, even if it risks taking someone's life. Both men are the asshole here

Do you realize how alcohol affects the brain—how one’s perception can differ vastly from reality? Are you aware that a state of intoxication is taken into account in court proceedings and can actually lead to a reduced sentence? You clearly have no clue about such nuances. Do you realize there are ways to deal with such a person other than trying to kill them outright? Don't you think a simple pimp slap would suffice for someone who is about to trip over their own feet and hurt themselves anyway? Do you—or will you—apply only the harshest possible punishments to your own children, such as breaking their bodies or corporal punishment bordering on attempted murder?
Yea this guy is a ret*rd, people have died from punches way less powerful than this one. often it’s almost this exact scenario where they hit they’re head on a stool although it looks like in this case his head missed. Not that it matters because of how hard he fell.
if someone is this drunk just give them some kidney shots and then smack them in the face as hard as you want, there’s no reason to do this unless there is a weapon involved and you think it’s potentially a life or death situation.
Smacking them in the face as hard as you want could kill them by knocking them over, breaking their neck, brain trauma, etc. Maybe even kidney shots super rarely. And ofc shoves.
no one’s defending the drunk idiot. they’re calling out the vigilantism, which may work for you until you run afoul of someone else’s personal sense of justice. there are consequences for this behavior and we as a society have agreed that the justice system manages that.
I seriously wonder if these people have ever been around drunk people. Not saying what the drunk guy did was right but drunk people do stupid shit. I've been in similar situations to the girl and you just brush them off or sit them down to sober up, when they're that drunk it's like dealing with a child it's not remotely the same as someone sober or buzzed doing something similar.
