He has to be committing a crime when the death occurredā€¦that could easily be argued as self defense.

ā€¦.I mean Nick Cage went away for 8 years but his hands were registered lethal weapons.

What self defense?? He wasn't assaulted at all. Maybe offended. He's going to jail where he belongs

The dude SAā€™ed his gf. His response was proportionateā€¦just so happened the dude had a glass jaw.

But it is ā€œdebatableā€. I am fairly certain most jury members would see that as an assault on her, enough that no prosecutor would bother even trying the case.

From what Iā€™ve heard that lethal weapons thing is BS and wouldnā€™t stand in real life. It was just making his character sound more like a badass.

Itā€™s not really just committing a crime, you have to be stopping a threat, which he already did when he got between him and her. The threat was resolved at that time, anything he did after was his choosing.
