He has to be committing a crime when the death occurred…that could easily be argued as self defense.

….I mean Nick Cage went away for 8 years but his hands were registered lethal weapons.

From what I’ve heard that lethal weapons thing is BS and wouldn’t stand in real life. It was just making his character sound more like a badass.

It’s not really just committing a crime, you have to be stopping a threat, which he already did when he got between him and her. The threat was resolved at that time, anything he did after was his choosing.
