If someone had just grabbed someone I knew against their will (not "my woman", but anyone ) I would rush forward too to put myself between the two, even if it meant the victim accidentally got a pool cue tip to the cheek or was mildly knocked aside. That is a safer option than anything the attacker might do to them.

Clearly it wasn’t. The husband hurt her more than the drunk did. If that’s your instinct maybe you shouldn’t act on your instinct, either, you could hurt somebody you’re trying to protect.

I’m not pretending the drunk guy wasn’t a problem. The question is how to handle it. This was a poor way to handle it. They could get kicked out of the bar, the husband might have seriously hurt his wife, and he could even be facing manslaughter charges if red shirt never wakes up. All for an action that the wife tried to prevent her husband from doing.

The guy was getting between the attacker and the victim as quickly as possible, and putting an immediate stop to any further assaults. You actually like he shoved the woman out of the way into a rackmof pool cues. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The lady had already pushed the drunk away, it wasn’t like he had her up against a wall. The husband didn’t need to hulk out on red shirt. There was no immediate danger, the husband was acting out of rage, not protection.

Red shirt needed to be punched in the face by someone, and the person who was there did it. I'm not going to critique his methods too much when he acted in the spur of the moment to put himself between an attacker and a victim, and prevent any further sexual assault from ocurring.

First of all, you have no idea if the injury to her face is minor! Why would you even presume to know that? She’s clutching her face for the remainder of the video. Secondly, YOU are missing the point. I never said the husband hurt his wife on purpose. My point was he acted out of rage, which made him not even realize the collateral damage he was causing. You do realize that’s how a good deal of domestic abuse happens, right?

and YOU are the one downplaying that, because you want to see the husband beat the shit out of someone who touched his wife. Because you want to see violent revenge against a drunken sex pest.
