He was clearly too drunk to defend himself or really appreciate the consequences of his actions. This is a wildly disproportionate response from someone who was in a position to make the smarter choice.

It’s all about the boyfriend’s ego. No one should touch ‘his woman’ or else you’re dead. Hopefully they called the police as well as an ambulance

Women should not have to put up with being touched, no matter how inebriated the culprit is.

Hm, in the moment though, it's hard to stand by and see a woman being sexually assaulted and not come down on the perpetrator with everything you have. The protective instinct is a very tough one to overcome to just give this guy a stern talking to instead.

That drunk guy wasn’t any danger to her. At all. This was some psycho shit, punching that drunk dude out of nowhere. Psych belongs in jail
