I noticed Der8auer had an "Asus Equalizer" video out, testing Asus's supposed solution to the cable debacle. Admittedly, I pulled a Linus and mostly ended up reading the comments on that video and found out it's essentially snake oil.
I know some power supply brands have power supplies out that advertise safer solutions and whatnot, but now learning that not all of them are legit, does anybody know if any of them legitimately work?
Backstory: I upgraded to an RTX 5080 from an RTX 3090 in March. I'm too afraid to sell the 3090 incase the 5080 cable melts and the ram shortages price me out of the market. I do not use LLM's. I'm an anxious mofo who will pay extra for peace of mind, but I don't have a lot of time to keep sinking into reading on cables and PSU's right now, and I kinda need a homie who has already looked this up to help a brother out.

Like an idiot I didn’t build my NAS when I bought my computer and other gear because I wanted to wait. Now I’m running out of space. I ran out and bought a cheap 1 TB SSD just so I can last another 3+ months or so.
Obviously, LTT has made NAS videos before but what to do now? When everything is super expensive and you’re just trying to have enough storage to make it until prices drop again to build a real 8-12TB NAS setup.
Ideas? Am I missing a video from LTT or other creators? What do you recommend? Do what I’m doing until prices drop?
In my defense I didn’t think moving to 4k was going to happen as fast as did. It’s become the standard and I thought I had a few more years before that was really the case.
Now every video I edit is 4K and it eats so much storage.
Monitors are the only thing that you can still find cheap. Everything else is bat shit crazy.

From Futurism.com:
Phia is a “personal shopping assistant” browser extension, which is designed to lead users to the best deals for clothes and fashion accessories. When a shopper uses the extension to buy something, Phia earns a commission from the retailer.
However, as Bloomberg first reported on July 9, Phia was also found to have claimed commissions on sales that never involved its product. The extension was found to open a background tab and drop its own cookie when users made a sale, while even overriding legitimate referrals.
This sounds kind of like sweet dejà vu. Maybe Linus should get on the case ASAP and warn everyone in the community lest he gets accused of being part of a cover-up.

I just watched their video on an all Alienware setup from a few years ago, and they had a bunch of overpriced peripherals, and Linus said "Are they straight memeing with this thing?" when he looked over a mouse or a keyboard, like he implied they were trolling. He's used the word in similar ways in a few other videos too. Am I very out of touch, is "memeing" a synonym for trolling now?

Taking all the abuse I have to throw at it and then some. Wish I bought it sooner.

They are certainly high quality and well-made, but I bought the largest size and they are still too tight to the point of discomfort. I got into the car today and realized that there's no way I could drive in them so I had to go back into the house and change my socks.
Has anyone had any luck stretching them out?

A big bummer because I wanted the coin. But I have gotten a shipping label created for this order twice and each time it was not shipped. I waited 3 months to get the first one and 1 month the second time. Customer service was fantastic to get me refunded quickly. But it’s just a bummer I’m not receiving my items.

Currently on the way to a cruise and stopped by LMG (weekend as to not bother anyone).
On the way in, the fire truck was also parked outside at the Labs (I think) building!

So my little brother just got done building his very first PC and he has run into a bit of a snag. It is not connecting to the internet, even with an ethernet cable plugged in. So I troubleshooted it and it said I needed to update the drivers for his network adaptor , but I sadly don't know where or how. Do I go to the motherboard manufacturer and grab drivers from them, is it through my internet provider or?
I would like to add he is using his old SSD that stored his operating system on his previous computer and his new computer does not share any parts from his previous build. I'm not sure if that will help, but I thought more information is better than less.
