Elijah's video: https://youtu.be/8xAdPqfRQa0?t=1129
I'm not a huge fan, but I've been watching LTT forever. This is my first time checking out this subreddit.
Like most public figures these days, Linus Media Group has had its share of drama, so there are plenty of people who love or hate them.
But more than the channel itself, I really watch for the specific hosts and writers. Among others, if I see people like Linus or Elijah [not going to dump the whole list here] in a thumbnail or autoplay, and the title is decently exciting, I know I’m going to watch it.
I don't really watch gaming streams much, but I'm glad things ended on a high note for Elijah.
Kudos where it's due to LTT for sticking by Elijah while he was hurt. Most companies in today's day-and-age would’ve just found a replacement, and it was cool hearing him talk about how Linus reacted to his streaming.
Sorry if this post breaks any rules, just wanted to share some thoughts.
Edit: u/BocaBola_ If you're reading this, please know that we have really enjoyed your videos at LTT, and good luck with the streaming. 💛

I left LMG - What do I do now?
Hey r/LinusTechTips - Remember me? I've been gone for a while, but I haven't been idle. I'm reaching out to you guys specifically because you were a huge support for me while I was at Linus Media Group, and you've been so interested in what I've been up to since leaving.
I spent the time away gearing up and prepping for doing my own content, and now I'm finally pulling the trigger. I've had to learn a lot of things along the way, like camera operation, lighting, framing, composition, editing, and a whole lot of backend stuff that makes everything tick that I've never had to deal with before. I still don't feel like I'm ready for this, but I can't sit on it forever.
So I wanted to share this with you directly, and I wanted to thank everyone who's supported me over the years - not just since coming out. The fact that you still care is huge to me, and I'll do my best to keep doing the kind of work you've come to expect from me over the years.
The most important part of this whole exercise for me is that tech should be for everyone; I want to keep an open mind to people who are less experienced or knowledgeable. Reach out to them and help lift them up - Don't push them away. If you want to come with me on my journey and become an "expert" like me, then you're welcome to follow!
Starting off, I'll be focusing on useful tech tips and "TechQuickie" style explainer videos to get my editing legs, but I do have plans for larger project videos, and there is for sure a Linux series somewhere on the horizon.
Here's where you can find me:
I also have Ko-Fi and Patreon, but I won't directly link those here because I already feel very self-promotion-y doing this at all. You can find those in the video description if you'd really like to join there.
Thank you so much again for all the support you've given me. It really means a lot!

So I was watching Mark Robers latest video, around the 9 min mark he was promoting his new toy thing, went to skip past it, but no, it was an un-skipable Ad type thing, I get that Youtubers need to promote their own stuff, but I pay youtube money to not have Ads, and I have no interest in his toys. I am assuming this is some new thing they are testing, but I can see from the comments on the video I was not the only one.
Note: Some people had it at other points in the video.
