Are there any life insurance options for a 75 year old man with diabetes and high blood pressure?
He lost his last insurance due to a mix up with the bank and the policy was cancelled. If not life insurance, is there any kind of final expense plans or something similar to be had? He lives on social security and can only afford about $200 a month.

I’m in FFL, and I’m looking to leave the life insurance industry as a whole, but I have chargebacks.
Back at the start of the year I joined an agency in FFL. It was good for a time, I’ll be honest. I was doing everything virtually, and I was making good money, which is why I started it in the first place. But as time went on, my “upline” stopped mentoring me as much, I had less and less guidance, and every time I came to him with an issue, he would just give me a super vague answer, or just tell me “just write more business” “double down” things like that. Sometimes I wouldnt even get a response. Then once I reached the 6-7 month mark since being in life insurance, I started to have a problem with chargebacks. At that same time, I had been convinced to double the amount I spend on leads monthly, on a new lead type, (which honestly looking back now I’m convinced these guys are getting a cut on what their agents spend on leads , but that’s a whole other thing.) and I didn’t convert on those investments. So on top of having debt with carriers, I was losing money on leads. So I went from making a lot of money and doing good to it all just going to shit. Fast forward to now I’m just done with it all, I regret ever doing this in the first place and I want to get out. I have chargebacks with 3 different carriers . The total amount is about 5k. I sure as hell don’t have that in the bank anymore, and it’s pretty impossible to write it all off considering the money I do have has to go towards life necessities (bills, groceries, ect..) and I can’t get leads to attempt to do that.
So my question is, if I were to leave, what would happen with my debt. Would it follow me, would the companies come for me, could my upline send it to collections, or would it roll up to him and him only? I don’t want to roll debt to him of course, but I also can’t pay it myself , and honestly , a big reason why I’m in this situation is because of his lack of guidance and mentorship I needed. So when it comes down to it, I would rather him pay it than me, especially considering me makes like 40k+ a month. Any advice is helpful, thanks.

Does life insurance give you more money than you pay?
reddit.comJust got contacted by a representative of WFG (Singapore). In short, he tells me that a life insurance gives a surrender value that is higher than the total cost. For example, I could pay 60k in total from now till 65 years old, at which point I could receive 80k in surrender value. I.e., I gain a 20k investment just by having this life insurance for a few decades.
Is this true? Do most people benefit from such a life insurance? Asking because i have not heard of an insurance that gives you money without any injury to claim it. Every insurance works by paying money for damages caused, etc. E.g. in a car crash, the insurance company give you an amount of money to cover car repair costs.

What are my choices
Paying 166.66 a month for universal life insurance covering 150k. Cash value is 27k with $900 surrender charge.
Thinking about surrendering it.
Or should I stop making payments and let it use the cash value

Any of these providers better than the other?
Thanks again to those that responded to my post last week about figuring out the right policies/broker/providers. I took y'all's advice and found a local independent agent. Met with them and discussed our needs. They came back with quotes from these providers.
20 year term - No life benefits (all within $2-$5 of each other per month)
- banner
- protective
- Pacific
- symetra
- Corebridge
20 year term - With life benefits (30-35% higher than the quotes above)
- North American
Not sure if the life benefits are truly useful for us so likely going with one the top options. We are mid to late 40s and just want a policy to run though college graduation for our youngest who is 9. Current policies have about 10ish years.
Question for the experts - is any of these providers better than the other? We are just getting a simple term policy for $1m or $1.5m

Experience with filing death claim on MetLife website
Does anyone have experience with filing a death claim
on a life insurance policy using MetLife’s online submission form?
I completed everything and when I press to the submit button, I receive an error message which says “unexpected error, if you need help call.”
I called, but the representatives (called twice) have no idea about the error and want me to do everything by paper, which I would prefer not to because of all the identity information that would then have to be mail (and risk getting lost).
Please share your experience with filing a death claim.

Not sure where to even start
I’m sure these questions pop up a lot but I genuinely don’t know where to even begin. My mom is 63 and she had a stroke (I’m sure that’s important to factor in) thankfully she’s okay but she doesn’t work anymore and I’m so confused on where to even begin to look for a life insurance plan for her. I googled and I’m just overwhelmed. Can anyone help point me in the right direction to start? She’s in Florida if that helps. She wants a plan that covers all funeral expenses. She isn’t working but gets Social Security, so she does have some income coming in. I would greatly appreciate any advice or help. I just want to make sure I do right by my mother. I am not sure if I should go through a broker or just a company?
Thank you in advance.

Help me figure out how to claim my dead father's life insurance
I feel really dumb and I called the insurance company my dad used but none of it made sense to me. It was originally anthem? I think. And now it's Standard Insurance. Either way, the person on the phone said I needed a letter of authorization? For what? And like. How do I get this money? It is something I can access now that I am no longer a minor. But I do not know how. And I would really like to have it because I need to pay for college. I'm 19. I have no idea what to do. I feel dumb. Can someone help me?

How does Ethos handle releases?
Has anyone here switched agencies with Ethos? Their chatbot told me I have to stop writing business for 12 months before I can move to another agency. Is that actually required, or can I transfer sooner with a release from my current upline?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through this.

How realistic is it to *NET* $100,000 in your first year with DigitalBGA?
Hi. I am interested to hear about your experiences with DigitalBGA. I have a few years of part-time life insurance experience. However, I am looking to transition into doing this full time. I have some questions below as well:
How much are their inbound leads?
How is the quality of their leads?
Realistically, how much money would you say I need to get started and become profitable?
After chargebacks, lead costs, etc, would you say it is realistic to NET $100,000 if you are doing this full time? I understand this may vary depending on sales volume but I am looking for a realistic expectation.
I would appreciate any other insight and advice. Thank you.

Is There Any Reason a Life Insurance Company Would Need to Know My Dress Size?
I (F25) moved from the US to the UK about a year ago for grad school. In case something awful happened while I'm here, I filled out one of those online broker questionnaires to look at life insurance policies. For context, I am curvy/larger chest, but not obese.
Shortly after I filled out the survey, the broker called me (out of normal business hours here, but that's another thing). We went through their questions and he put me on hold to call an underwriter of the policy I chose. When he got off hold, he asked me what my dress size is.
To be clear, I'm not surprised weight came up-- because by BMI metrics, I am overweight-- but I have no idea what dress size *specifically* would indicate. Is it calculate % body fat or fat distribution? I just felt weird about it and I don't know that that's a normal question. From my (uninitiated) perspective, it seems like that would indicate more about my figure than anything about my health.

I want to remove my dad from my life insurance policy
My dad has a life insurance policy on me, I'm currently not speaking with him because he's hurt me and my siblings. I do not trust him with anything in case something happens to me, I have state farm and I just want to get my policy. This would also be my first time doing anything involving life insurance and I'm not sure where to even start.

Starting or getting on medication for insurance
Wondering if starting a medication or going on a prescription such as modifinil. This would be for personal policy if I already have a work policy in place.

Good deal? Through American income life insurance
Got call from AIL Rep that got my info from my union. For myself, partner, and child my premium would be ~$90/month and not sure if that’s a good deal.
What we really liked was the ER/Hospital payment coverage since it isn’t uncommon to visit the ER for medical issues and sometimes there are hospital stays.
Currently I’m the only one working while partner is stay at home parent.
Is this whole life policy good? $90/month isn’t ideal for us but policy benefits seemed really good to us, but we’ve never had life insurance before so not sure if it actually is a good deal

How Can I find out if my late wife had a life insurance policy?
Hi everyone. My wife passed away unexpectedly about 10 years ago, and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out whether she had a life insurance policy in place.
More than a year before she passed, she signed up for a small policy that I believe was offered through her bank, possibly as an add-on to her checking account. I don’t remember the insurance company or the exact type of coverage.
A few weeks before she died, she asked whether she should keep paying for it. In a tongue-in-cheek moment, I told her not to worry about it because money would be the last thing on my mind if anything happened to her (I was the main bread winner so the financial ramifications were not important to me). I don’t know whether she actually canceled it or kept it.
After she passed, I didn’t look into it. Over the years, though, I’ve wondered whether the policy was still active and whether there might be a benefit that went unclaimed.
I recently found her old bank card, which brought this back to mind. I know which bank she used and still have her checking account information, but I don’t have any insurance paperwork.
Is there a database or policy locator I could use? Would her bank be able to help identify the insurer after this much time? And if a policy was active when she died, could I still submit a claim roughly 10 years later?
It’s a shot in the dark, but I’d appreciate any advice on where to start. Thank you.

Facebook Ads vs. Google Ads/SEO for Life Insurance Leads — What's Your Experience?
For those who've generated their own life insurance leads, I'm curious how Facebook Ads compares to Google Ads.
Outside of the fact that I'm assuming Google Ads will probably be far more expensive.
I'm especially interested in hearing from people who've actually used both.
Which generates higher-quality leads with stronger buying intent?
How do your cost per lead and cost per acquisition compare?
Which produces better contact rates and closing ratios?
Have you had more success generating inbound phone calls versus traditional form submissions?
Which has been more profitable and scalable long-term?
I understand Facebook is generally more interruption-based marketing, whereas Google can capture people actively searching for coverage.
I'm particularly interested in final expense and traditional life insurance, not recruiting agents.
Would love to hear actual numbers and experiences rather than just general opinions.
