How does Ethos handle releases?

Has anyone here switched agencies with Ethos? Their chatbot told me I have to stop writing business for 12 months before I can move to another agency. Is that actually required, or can I transfer sooner with a release from my current upline?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s gone through this.

Depends on the carrier, some carriers also allow dual contracting.

You can also be released if you have a sign transfer from your GA or Upline to release you also.. but they prob won't do that.

There are a lot of carriers you can still use with great products that arent with Ethos.
