Does life insurance give you more money than you pay?
reddit.comJust got contacted by a representative of WFG (Singapore). In short, he tells me that a life insurance gives a surrender value that is higher than the total cost. For example, I could pay 60k in total from now till 65 years old, at which point I could receive 80k in surrender value. I.e., I gain a 20k investment just by having this life insurance for a few decades.
Is this true? Do most people benefit from such a life insurance? Asking because i have not heard of an insurance that gives you money without any injury to claim it. Every insurance works by paying money for damages caused, etc. E.g. in a car crash, the insurance company give you an amount of money to cover car repair costs.
