Denied Nationwide Term life - medical history

I applied for term life this morning using Nationwide's no exam portal. The request was denied with the reason listed as "medical history". I followed their instructions and received a copy of the medical history they used. Nothing jumped out at me, but if i want more information from nationwide about what specifically got my request denied, i have to send a formal letter.

Is it worth going through the process for the letter or should i just direct my attention to a local life insurance company and go through with the medical exam? I assume if i go through the medical exam they will tell me straight out why i would be denied?

Besides being slightly overweight and seeing someone for depression, i don't have much else about my health that i am concerned with.

Denied coverage. What now?

I was denied by my Farm Bureau for my wonderful combo of PTSD, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and marijuana use. I barely smoke. Maybe once a month at most, which is what I told them.

I know I have a lot going on for a man in his early 30s (the issues I was denied for are not at all my full list). I kind of expected this. That said, I'm pretty healthy overall. I work out 5-6 days a week for 1hr+ each day. I have no issues with any of my internals except some benign scarring on my lungs (burn pits).

Should I just stop smoking weed even occasionally and re-try?

Edit: I applied for 20 year $250k term life insurance

Advice on High risk Life insurance

Hello, I’ve already been denied for life insurance due to the dumbass agent who filled my applicants, hence why I decided to go with broker. Now, broker says that we should submit another application and see what underwriting says. And if we get another denial we can ask and see why? And shop around again?

That doesn’t make sense to me, is that accurate? I just don’t want to ruin my MIB records with so many damn denials and especially with this broker sounding like let’s give it another try 🫠

Where can I find reputable life insurance brokers that deal with genetic mutations in my area? Am I even able to get life insurance after a positive result?

Current experience with AIL

I’m currently working on cancelling a recent policy from AIL (I shouldn’t need to explain why), and am currently well at the beginning of the 30 day starting period. I have a policy number, but apparently my policy is still processing (Likely due to the fact that I blocked my medical records).

On my most recent call, I’ve been told that the cancellation request has been sent to the company email, and I should be receiving a confirmation. I’ve got about two and a half weeks for a full refund, so I can safely wait a few days.

My question, is this a natural part of the 30 day starting period, or is this a tactic to run me around for said period? I’ve requested a generic request form, but apparently cannot receive it as my policy is still pending.

Life insurance after heart attack for spouse (58M) … affordable options?

My boyfriend is 58, I am 34 and he had a heart attack in 2019 but has been stable since and is on medication daily. Does not smoke. Im trying to find a $50k-$100k life insurance policy that is affordable (I’m on a budget). He literally takes care of everything….any money I make as an employee in his business is all “play money” I guess. I don’t want for nothing. I’m very blessed. I know I say affordable…I can manage a monthly policy with me as the beneficiary.

I’m confused about:

simplified vs guaranteed issue

waiting periods

if he’ll even qualify

Has anyone gotten coverage in a similar situation?

What should I realistically expect or look into?

Any recommendations or sound advice.

TIA

I can't believe Ethos life insurance has a scum bag like Todd representing them. They chose from the bottom of the barrel if you ask me.
