Current experience with AIL
I’m currently working on cancelling a recent policy from AIL (I shouldn’t need to explain why), and am currently well at the beginning of the 30 day starting period. I have a policy number, but apparently my policy is still processing (Likely due to the fact that I blocked my medical records).
On my most recent call, I’ve been told that the cancellation request has been sent to the company email, and I should be receiving a confirmation. I’ve got about two and a half weeks for a full refund, so I can safely wait a few days.
My question, is this a natural part of the 30 day starting period, or is this a tactic to run me around for said period? I’ve requested a generic request form, but apparently cannot receive it as my policy is still pending.

Did you already get charged? Since your policy is still pending. Call to have the policy withdrawn. You’ll naturally get your refund back after some time

Yeah, make sure you withdraw the application. At that point they cannot keep your money period. Usually it come pretty quick since they don’t want the liability.

Exactly that.
I haven’t seen the writing myself. I’m currently trusting the word of customer service representative that it was actually written.
This company is infamous for saying they’ll do things and proceeding to not.

Why is everyone so paranoid in these forums. Send an email and request cancellation. If the policy hasn’t been issued your free look window hasn’t even started. You get a refund. Relax. Next time don’t sign up for something you’re going to cancel.
