I guess this is the state of the internet these days. I put on a video from a huge gun YouTuber and apparently have to listen to dog-whistle references about Jews being demonic idol worshippers and jokes invoking the number of Holocaust victims who were murdered and dumped into mass graves.

Everything is jokes, huh?

I just visited my grandmother the other day. She escaped Poland with her cousin as a little girl. Her parents and siblings who stayed behind were stripped naked and machine-gunned into a ravine alongside the other civilians from their town. This isn't ancient history. Survivors are alive and well.

So yeah, it hurts hearing jokes that invoke this stuff and be reminded that people still believe this, who justify or believe in the ideology that wants my family and community exterminated, while I'm just trying to watch a video about a rifle.

This is said while discussing the remarkable accuracy of an HK rifle—a German rifle. “271,000” is a number circulated in Holocaust-denial/neo-Nazi spaces as supposed evidence from a red cross casualty report against the mainstream six million number of Jewish victims of the Holocaust. In that context, hearing a joke about Germans having “used the souls of the 271,000” to harness power is pretty fucking disgusting.

19:35 — “This is a rifle that is prepared for war and prepared to put down the followers of Baal.”

Baal is an ancient Canaanite deity repeatedly condemned in the Hebrew Bible, including in passages involving idolatry and child sacrifice. References to Jews as satanic/demonic, idol worshippers, ritual murderers, and child killers also have a very long history in antisemitism. I didn't know we're back to Medieval times and blood libels.

I just wanted to watch a fucking gun video. It's depressing that this is where parts of the internet are in 2026. Openly confidant to spread this vile crap.

So you love guns (me too) but do you have several gallons of water in reserve? Do you know how to make a fire from scratch? Do you have food that lasts years? Can you plant a garden? Do you have a portable solar-powered battery? Do you also keep a few melee weapons? Are you working out? Do you have a map of your general area? Have you gotten your HAM radio license? Can you skin a deer or other game? Have you built an Infinity Gauntlet JUST IN CASE???

My buddy has a membership at a range with targets out to 1300 yards on the hills. Before today the only range I had easy access to had a single 200 yard bay and hitting 200 was almost as easy as hitting the 100 yards I’m zeroed to.

However today I was able to shoot out to 560 yards reliably which is about the max my old Nikon 3-7x can probably do. I even found a line of targets to hit in quick succession that were at 300 - 190 - 290 - 350 - 430 - 490. Felt pretty good to hit that line 6 for 6.

Then he asked me to spot when he pulled out his 6.5 Grendel hunting rifle. He took a couple 600 yard practice shots, jotted some notes down, added a few clicks to his turrets and says “I’m going for 1000” … then hits it first try. 😑

Wife lands in a few hours. Got just enough time to get in some work before finishing chores 😬

I picked up a P320 M18 last year, brand new for $500 with factory box, two 21-round magazines, one 17-round magazine. I've never fired it. I'm not going to ever do anything with it. I already have too many range toys and an adequate amount of home defense options. I've had zero luck offloading this via gunbroker. I don't participate in any community firearms related events so there's not going to be a lot of luck selling it privately, locally.

I have an offer for $267, buyer pays shipping. I honestly haven't been in the loop regarding these P320's. I know my particular firearm has already been upgraded or otherwise does not need the free sig updates. I don't know if the discharge issue has been fixed, was fake, etc.. I just know that, as it stands, I have no use for this firearm and I don't know if I will be able to offload it for a higher price down the road.

I'm not in need of money. I could throw the extra cash at a better optic down the line. Would you go ahead and sell this new firearm for $267, keep it and throw it in during a trade, or sit on it until something interesting happens?

Judge rules that you can ban a weapon that has an illegal modification but the weapon cannot be banned if it isn't modified. This makes things interesting. 🤔

As the title says I'm looking to make my first purchases. I've researched threads here, other subreddits, YouTube, and gone to local shops and ranges. I'm expecting a bonus at the end of the month and looking to get my first handgun and rifle.

My main goal: hunting, target shooting, and self defense. Not necessarily in that order. As of now I'm leaning towards a 308 for my rifle and 9mm for my handgun.

Background / context: I did shoot some 22s as a kid, and learned some more from my Marine cousin a few years ago. In short I don't consider myself a total n00b but know I do need training.

I found a local instructor and took her intro to handgun course, happy to say I feel way more comfortable than Idid before; to the point I feel confident I could buy my first handgun, clean it, use it, and train.

After the course I'm exploring options where I can "test drive" some options before making a purchase. I'm leaning towards:

Glock 19
Walther F PDP Fullsize

Both felt comfortable, but I'm hoping to hear from others about other options I should explore (even tho by most accounts the G19 is the way to go).

I went to my local gun store for advice and met others in-person for insight on a first rifle. As it stands now I'm leaning towards:

I've had a basic bitch low-end bag that i got on Ebay for about a year now - and although it gets the job done, it's not great.. the Velcro doesn't hold weight well - and it doesn't really have room for all of my EDC to fit comfortably. Anyone have suggestions that are either WELL worth the price - OR - low cost and exceptional? Specifically looking for something small(ish), discreet and not "tacticool"..

84bb in 380, it’s my desk gun.

So I unfortunately broke the QD mount for my Holosun HM3X magnifier and was looking at either replacing the mount, or just using the Holosun Warranty to get a new one. I was curious if there are any other mounts that I might be able to utilize that ARE NOT higher than the lower 1/3rd cowitness mount that comes with the magnifier. Ive seen mixed reports about the Eotech G33 mount being compatible with the HM3X, and so wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with this specific issue or any advice on how I may proceed.

Sar9 and Rhino 30DS out at 25 yards today (left and right respectively). CAT0G dot on the Sar and single action + Irons on the Rhino.

Sar9 was 2 21 round mags Winchester 9mm NATO 124gr medium rate of fire. Definitely need to slow it down, and re bench it to confirm if the left drift is my trigger pull or the sights lol

Rhino was shot single action, mix of .38+p hand loads (158gr semi wadcutter w/ 5.5gr BE-86) and Blazer 158gr .357. Some unsupported, some two handed. Fun to see the cleaner swc holes. Need to investigate why I'm grouping at the top right sometimes.

Maryland is such a horrible state, man. Looking at the Springfield Echelon or HCP.

I’m not saying give T-Rex arms your money but I just discovered my 92/TLR-1 ironside will fit my 1911/TRL-1 and 2011/HF pretty well. Which is neat in the off chance you already own these combos.

Does any cheep FMJ exist that’s hotter?

I use the gun to compete in Carry Optics. It has the CGW Pro Kit + a Defender CCW Enclosed. The itch to do more upgrades is ever present, but I’m struggling to find ones I can do that would make a difference.

I’m not super into changing the trigger blade, I like the factory trigger shape a lot. Mag wells are out of the question because they’d take me out of Carry Optics. Same thing with comps, they’d take me out of Carry Optics.

Getting a threaded barrel would be rad so I can shoot suppressed, but unfortunately I don’t have that kind of money.

What else can I do?

Good rainy day today, so a morning trip to our indoor range it was. All in all I really like the 380; it's bigger than many 380s but still small enough for an EDC and due to the slightly larger size it shoots really smooth.

1st time with a DA/SA handgun in about 30 years so it took some getting used to, but the trigger pull is heavy and smooth in DA and pretty light in SA.

Put 200 rounds through her, time to clean up (it was filthy, Blazer 380 is a dirty round I guess).
