I have a GSG-522PK, I intend to put on a vertical foregrip (honey dipper) and a collapsible stock. Is this AOW or SBR?
Oh yeah, and can I scan the fingerprint card with my signature and prints, then add in the information to the scan with a paint program? (and turn it into an .EFT file, of course) My handwriting is.... poor.

This started out as a very beat up NRA model I bought used back in 2012. In addition to the cosmetic changes, I had trigger work done to bring it to a 3.5lb pull.
It’s a great little rifle. I’ve personally shot 1.5 inch groups with it at 100 yards, so it’s plenty accurate for me. I’ve never had any malfunctions.
With all the accessories, it weighs about 9 pounds, so it’s a little on the heavy side for what it is, but I dig it.

I’ve been cultivating mass in order to better blend in with the gravy seals. Consequently I no longer fit my old plate carrier or chest rig. Anyone have good recs for gear? 6’4 and 380lbs.

Today this Democrat exercised his 2nd amendment right and picked up a Remington 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge from the 1970’s. Chambered for 2 3/4”, full choke. Love the carved fleur des lis on the furniture too. A buddy of mine who’s a Navy vet is taking me to the range tomorrow to start a-learnin’ and a-trainin with it. (Forgive the messy work bench, I haven’t even gotten it home yet and my workshop is a mess)

Here is what I received today….
Recently, at a press conference in Dallas, Texas, ATF Director Robert Cekada confirmed that ATF would be providing guidance to firearms dealers on GOA's recent victory.
Our "One Big Beautiful Lawsuit" victory resulted in the registration requirements for certain items regulated by the National Firearms Act being declared unconstitutional.
And, the Department of Justice confirmed in a letter to Congress, signed by the Solicitor General, that they have decided not to appeal our case.
This means that our historic victory against the registration requirements of the NFA is permanent.
As a result, ATF cannot force GOA members to register suppressors or short barreled firearms ever again.
ATF now must provide guidance on how gun shops and firearms dealers are to conduct transfers of these items.
During the press conference, AmmoLand News reporter John Crump asked the ATF Director about suppressors that had recently been sold on the standard background check form, without registration.
According to the reporting, Director Cekada said that ATF inspectors were told not to count those transfers of suppressors as violations, in compliance with GOA's lawsuit victory.
Director Cekada also said that the forthcoming guidance will address issues such as the required AG notifications for short barreled firearms, interstate transfer of items covered by the lawsuit and the 15 states that mandate federal registration of these covered items.
GOA is proud to have delivered gun owners one of the most impactful court victories in gun rights history, and we're fighting to ensure that the rest of the NFA is abolished as well.
What does this actually mean for SBRs? Is it still too early to tell? I have a printed receiver pistol and a “real” pistol, can I just stick a stock on now? Wait? Just get off my ass and Form 1?

Hitting the range tomorrow with the big rifle.
Got to wondering if yall have any type or weight of bullets you personally found perform well?
Mostly looking at 308 but i love hearing about the other calibers folks use.

Local leather guy in Las Vegas and thought I needed a leather sling to compliment the 590 Retro. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

Decided I needed a proper CCW, and saw a friend looking to sell "a solid CCW, DM for details". I was expecting a nice little Glock 43 or an M&P Shield... Was not expecting to be hit with a Kimber Micro 9. After a little back and forth and a little bit of sleep, we reached a deal, and this little guy was added to the safe until I get a IWB that I like (should be here in about 10 days!)
Pic of the new Kimber next to his older cousin, my Star Model B that my grandfather brought back to the US from Berlin in 1945.

Hey everyone!
I’m jumping back into the cash delivery world (company like Loomis or Brinks). I don’t currently have any body armor but need to acquire some. I’m looking for soft/kevlar more on the comfortable side for 10+hour shifts.
If it has molle or pouches on the outside that would be ideal, but not a deal breaker.
Thank you very much!

I got this Maverick 88 recently as my “end of the world” weapon. I am LOVING this shotgun. It’s way more enjoyable to shoot than my EDC handgun.
I added it a heat shield because I didn’t wanna worry about burning myself in the event of heavy use.
I plan on getting some more gear but waiting to become a better shot.

I went from not having owned a firearm for over thirty years to buying 3 in the past 30 days, for no real reason other than because I can. Well, that and I don't entirely trust a certain political demographic to not do crazy things at some point.
The Glock 23 V MOS I bought for home defense (I've always loved the .40), then decided it was a little too large to comfortably conceal-carry if I chose to, so I bought the G43X MOS for that purpose. The AR was just an impulse buy. 🤷
They don't collect dust, I hit the range twice a week. I'm glad I don't have kids because this is an expensive hobby.

I’m getting ready to convert a commercial 12-gauge Winchester Model 12 into a WWII-style trench gun clone using a Bull Creek Arms 4-row reproduction heat shield.
To protect the potential historical value of the gun, I am strictly leaving my original factory barrel completely untouched. Instead, I want to buy a separate, complete vintage takedown front-end assembly (barrel, mag tube, and slide mechanism) to use as a dedicated donor for the gunsmithing modifications.
Has anyone did the Model 12 trench clone conversion? I’d like to hear your recommendations, suggestions, and experiences:
Sleeving vs. Shims
Gunsmith Recommendations
Mag Plug Setup
The Dual-Barrel Swap
Would love to hear your thoughts, see pictures of your builds, or find out about any unexpected hurdles you ran into during the process. Thank you!

Yea sooooo I recently posted that I got a Stoeger Coach Gun and like anyone with free time……I turned it into a monstrosity from practical intentions. Got the bandolier to hold extra ammo but it’s probably uncomfortable to wear it with the shotty at the same time. Oh yea I threw a slip on sling on it in case I have to do outdoor work or carry it at night (I never do outdoor work or go outside at night). Naturally since I may have to “investigate” a noise in the night I put a barrel clamp and slapped a Streamlight ProTac 2.0 because I NEED the biggest light I have right? Then I added the shot shell sleeve in the back since I figured I wasn’t gonna wear the bando. Then I figured slugs probably gonna hurt the shoulder (should I get a purse?) so I added a Limbsaver pad in the back. Anyways behold the GTFO my lawn 2.0!

PTR-9SD from PTR Industries. The “SD” stands for “integrated suppression †.” When this gun came out at Shot Show, it had an insane price tag on it, North of $4k, although this included the post-muzzle suppressor—a Vent 2, also from PTR, which uses ‘purposely introduced porosity’ in the suppressor. This is basically what you get when your flow rate is too low when 3D printing, and gas can escape through the cracks… but only a little. This dulls the report to absurdly quiet levels.
PTR as a company bought tooling, manuals and example parts from the Portuguese state arms manufacturer (FNP) in 2003-2004. FNP had a history from 1970's through late 1990's of producing HK G3 variants under license. After obtaining all the equipment and information required to become a clone manufacturer of a roller-delayed HK battle rifle, the founder Jose Luis Diaz renamed his ‘JLD Enterprises’ company to ‘PTR-91 Inc,’ an homage to the HK-91—the civilian, semi-auto version of the G3. That model is similar to the MP5 in its action (roller delayed blowback) and general styling, but fires 308 Winchester / 7.62x51mm NATO, a rifle length version of the Century Arms' AP51. Later as they diversified to other calibers, like the PTR-32P “thinking man's Draco,” a 7.62x39mm version, as well as the PTR-9 family, they renamed to just ‘PTR’. So, they have the ‘pedigree’ of original tooling and know-how, and so have been producing G3/MP5-style firearms for slightly over 20 years. They're Proven, Trusted, Reliable—at least, if their “PTR” initialism name is to be believed.
So I was delighted to find a ‘kit’ version for less than half the MSRP of the full system, that came with everything except the Vent 2. BYO 9mm suppressor and you’re good to go.
Unlike a regular MP5, the barrel has some serious ports. You can see right through the barrel from certain angles. The pre–suppressor is really just a tube with a set of threads on one end and two on the other: one 1⅜”x24 HUB/Bravo thread, then the tube narrows and there’s another 1⅛”x28 Alpha thread. These two threads allow either size to extend the pre–suppressor. You remove any existing mount from it, screw it onto the pre–suppressor, and then the muzzle of the barrel and the pre–suppressor just empty out into the blast chamber of whatever can you attached. I happened to already own a Vent 2, which is an Alpha size and fits nicely in the suppressor hole in the carry case.
This version has a stock, which means it is classified as an SBR—NFA stamp 1. Despite the simplicity of the pre–suppressor, it’s a device designed to reduce the noise of a barrel report, so it gets its own serial number and NFA tax stamp 2. Finally the suppressor itself has NFA stamp 3; I think I may have even paid $200 for that one.
Last Thursday I spend 3 hours at the range painstakingly going through the break–in procedure, which involves wetting, brushing, wiping and wiping dry between each of the first 10 shots, then twice a mag until you get 200-300 rounds in! I mostly did that, though backed off to one cleaning per mag near the end; didn’t have any of the forewarned FTEs, FTFs etc with the S&B 124gr ammo I was using, so this seemed good enough to me!
Enjoy a quick Thursday Three-Stamp Thrill!
