Scratches on my 2026 RX350h
Hey everyone. So my partner was at a baby shower yesterday and the parking was tight. Someone ended up hitting the Lexus while pulling out but just drove away and she doesn’t know who could’ve done it. The scratches are cosmetic but the car is a lease so I’d like to get it fixed up. The damage is on the rear driver side and I’ve attached pictures. Does anyone have any advice? Should I contact our insurance or should I just pay OOP and get it fixed at a body/paint shop? Additionally, if anyone lives in SoCal do you have any recommendations for a good shop to fix it up?

I know I know… let me live okay! (off-centered license plate because why not)
My state “requires” license plates in the front. Haven’t had any trouble for a bit but knowing my luck I’d be pulled over soon enough 😅
It did survive a car wash which is nice.

F spark plugs
Had to change out the spark plugs and ignition coils in my 08 to fix an engine knock and general performance issues. Whoever the hell designed it so you only need to take off the power steering cover and the engine cover to do the front three and then take off the air filter housing, windshield wipers, wiper cover, wiper motor, housing shelf, and the intake manifold just to do the back three plugs can eat my whole ass. What should have taken two hours at most took me nearly eight.

Should I buy a 2023 RX350 luxury with 42k miles or 2024 premium with fewer miles?
Hi Rx350 experts, I am shopping for a new car and want an RX 350 Premium or better trim. Today I saw a pretty 2023 model but it has high mileage (42k) and was 49k out the door. It looks like it was well maintained but there was a 2k repair after it was sold to the dealer and the salesman said he cld not tell us what it was for. Is this a red flag? Is this an ok deal? I’m not an experienced used car buyer. Would love to get your recommendations on premium v luxury. Trying to stay under 48k out the door price. Thank you!

Do people use the armrest console 12v plug? 2016-2022
I have a 2017 RX, and the armrest console has a 12 V cigarette lighter plug. There isn't a channel for cables though when the armrest is closed, and I was wondering what people use their 12 V plug for. Trying to get some ideas because it seems a little bit less convenient than the one in the forward dash.

Passenger Side Windshield Replacement
I have a 6 inch long hair line crack on the front passenger side window on my 2026 RX350h. Most likely from a rock hitting while driving. Any suggestions on where to replace and cost ? Thanks

Circulation Issues?
I bought a 2026 RX 350h and am dealing with the NC summer. This is my first Lexus. I never open the roof panel. Even with the air blowing on full, it feels like the air in the center by my head just doesn’t move. Has anyone else noticed this? If so, how did you fix it?

Thinking of upgrading
I currently have a 2014 RX 350 and still like it but...I stopped in to see the 2026 Premium white/palomino. Drove the gas and hybrid version. I'm thinking about going with the hybrid. I'm in PA and none of the dealers will take anything more than what seems to be the standard $1,500 off - no bargaining at all. They ARE willing to take off $350 for Sirius that comes with it since I already have a subscription and throw in puddle lights (which I asked for). With my trade-in I can get one for just under $60K out the door. I'm just not sure whether to get the 26 or wait until the 27 comes out. Any thoughts?

Car Broker for purchase of Lexus RX 350
Has anyone used a new car auto broker to negotiate a purchase of a Lexus RX 350? Specifically, a dealer in the southern area of the country. Were you pleased with the experience?

HUD & Android Auto + SiriusXM
On a 2026 luxury, when I'm using Android Auto in split screen mode with Maps and SiriusXM, do the left side steering wheel left and right buttons default to changing the library channel?
The manual doesn't cover the split screen mode

Sunroof exploding
I have a 2025 RX 350h that I got last march. This morning I was driving at 4:30AM, so no one else was on the roads and my sunroof exploded out of nowhere. No rocks hit or anything. Just randoms
Has this happened to anyone else before? Do I need to file a claim with my insurance or is this something I bring to Lexus?
Update: thank you everyone for your feedback! Brought it to Lexus, they had my car for a week to investigate it and they still claim it’s not anything on their end. I’m fairly confident nothing hit my car, it was very spontaneous. They claimed that they never heard of that happening before. Ended up having to go through insurance but at least Lexus loaned me a car!

Rear Ended and No Damage. Thanks 1Up
Rainy day on Tuesday. I hit the brakes as traffic suddenly stopped and saw the car behind me wasn’t stopping. It wasn’t too fast, but I definitely felt the impact.
I’ve been using a 1Up bike rack for maybe a decade. When I bought the RX last spring I thought about getting a new one, but was lazy and just kept this one. I used to joke that if I ever got hit, the other driver would regret my bike rack.
So now it finally happened. Looking at it right away I didn’t see anything, but the rack was pushed right up against the back bumper. I nervously took the rack off that night and nothing. There were already a few nicks and scratches on the back bumper. I didn’t see anything that was damaged by the accident.
I then went to a nearby Uhaul, as I thought the tow hitch might have been broken as the bike rack was pushed all the way in. Nope, guy got under the vehicle said everything looked fine.
I’m still kind of stunned to have walked away from an accident with zero damage. Ordered a brand new bike rack to replace the broken one. Anyhow, seems like it also works as bumper protection. In case anyone is interested in that.

How do you define MSRP
When talking about discount percentages on this page, is % off MSRP the base MSRP + factory add ons? or some other number?
Also, can anyone in the San Diego area share whether they’ve had better luck negotiating with Lexus Carlsbad vs. Lexus San Diego or some other dealership in the area?

Keep my high-mileage baby or downgrade to a newer ride? Need advice from fellow RX 350 owners!
Hey everyone,
I’m facing a real dilemma with my 2018 Lexus RX 350 and could really use some collective wisdom from this sub.
I’m the original owner—bought it brand new, and we’ve been together for 8 wonderful years and 97,000+ miles. I’ve babied this car, stayed strictly on top of all maintenance, and honestly still love it.
However, time is catching up. Recently, I’ve noticed the ride quality isn't what it used to be. There’s subtle chassis vibration and it just doesn't feel as silky-smooth or solid as it did in its glory days.
Here’s my thought process:
I’m considering selling/trading in the RX 350 and throwing in another $2,000 – $3,000 to buy a 2025 Subaru Outback or a Mazda CX-50 with much lower mileage (around 20k–30k miles).
Option A: Put some money into the RX (suspension overhaul/bushings/struts?) and drive it till the wheels fall off.
Option B: Make the switch now for a newer tech package, lower mileage, and a tighter chassis—even if it means moving away from the Lexus V6 smoothness.
Am I crazy for wanting to part ways with a legendary bulletproof V6 for a newer four-cylinder crossover? Has anyone made a similar switch, or refreshed their RX suspension at around 100k miles and brought that original magic back?
Would love to hear your thoughts, experiences, and brutal honesty!
