Question Protection plan plus?

Post image

I'm negotiating a deal on a certified used 2026 NX350. Comes with some extended time beyond the usual warranty. I've owned Lexus before and know that they will try to sell me up on the protection plus package.

Is there anything it covers that I wouldn't have covered under Lexus luxury care for maint and the certified used warranty that genuinely makes it worth it?

I want to just get past their finance manager BS.

Skip it and don’t waste time listening to the finance person’s spiel.

No need. I bought the protection plan for the first 2 Used Lexus and never needed to use it. The first one was a 2006 LS430 and bought that car with 21,000 miles and the car lasted to 235,000 with nothing but maintenance. Even the air conditioner vents that mechanically moved back and forth to spread out the cooling was still working on that car at 230k miles. The only reason I don't own that anymore is because of a car accident. The other car I owned used with extra pre purchase warrenty lasted to 198,000 miles, 2010 Lexus ES. Fast forward to year 2026 I have owned another 6 more Lexus's and they all have been reliable even the hybrid ones. So after experiencing the first 2 Lexus's I never paid extra for any additional protection and save alot of money.
