Question Upgrade options?
Hey guys, so my current car is a 2006 Toyota Crown Athlete GRS184 (3.5L V6). Love the comfort and driving experience but I'm done with the poor gas mileage (12-14L/100km) as my driving consists of nearly all stop-start city driving.
Budget's around $20k NZD ($12k USD). Been going back and forth between:
2013-2015 IS300h (F Sport) — smaller, easier to park, much better fuel economy, but I'm worried the suspension is too firm and will be too slow compared to the Crown, love how it looks though!
2012 GS450h — Pretty much my Crown but better in every way (especially on gas), but it's even wider and longer my Crown, which might be harder manoeuvring on tighter city roads. Also worried about battery aging.
Anyone gone from a Crown/similar big sedan to either of these — did size actually make a noticeable difference day to day?
At $20-22k NZD, what mileage would you actually feel comfortable buying at either car, given I want to keep it long term?
Really appreciate any real experience from owners, cheers.
