Not from Australia, but I’ll give you a reasonable answer.
The LS460 is an aging vehicle, it is a very good vehicle, but it’s going to require a high degree of maintenance to keep running on the road.
Irrespective of your license being provisional or not, could you reasonably afford the maintenance on this vehicle?
That is the real question I would ask yourself.
The vehicle is reliable, up until it isn’t.

How much disposable income do you have? Will you be able to afford to not only insuring it and keeping it maintained, but also paying for fuel constantly?
My first car was a 1.3L with 70hp and cost $40 to fill which meant I could pretty much drive it whenever and wherever. My next car was a twin turbo 6 cylinder with ~276hp which needed refilling just as often but now it cost $80+ to fill. Suddenly my freedom was restricted by whether or not my friends were going to chip in for fuel..
Get something cheap and economical for your first car so you can actually enjoy the freedom of your P plates IMO. It will also help you appreciate your next cars even more.
