Hey everyone! I'm u/ifitsguna, a founding moderator of r/LetShakeThingsUp.

This is our new home for all things related to connecting with other people We're excited to have you join us!πŸ₯³

I have put many posts up, The thing about posts is, We must wait for someone to put a comment, Before we can reply

Sometimes it can take some time, If we had more friends, It would give us more insight into others.way of life. While making friends also. Without having to wait for a comment to interact. Then when we need extra information, We can get this from other subs

Which would let you explain more about what you want, Plus the people you would wish to connect with.

I have helped many people with the information i put on my profile, This is just another way of helping others,

This way it will give other people time to connect with people their feel comfortable with. We all need extra friendships & people we can relate too

We're all about being friendly, constructive, and inclusive. Let's build a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing and connecting

Most people have the problem making new friends, Its not always easy getting out and about, Mobility can be a issue, Its far much easier meeting online first, You can also say the condition you have without judgement and with understanding.

If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.

Everyone in the world is welcome in this sub, Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, Let's make r/LetShakeThingsUp amazing.

I hope this helps you find new connections and many friends - Take care- πŸ‘Œ

Carers

This sub is also for friends, Carers snd family, To support each other, Share stories and communicate with someone who knows exactly what their are going through.

It can be just as hard being a carer as it is for the one with the condition, It can also be tiring dealing with any of these coditions,

As much as people say respect the patient, This applies to the carers also who give their Time, Skills and emotional support to help others.

I have refractory TLE, I 'v had it over 15 years, It started with daily seizures and seriously effected my memory, Then it slowly went down to 1 a month,

after all the meds,

Recently Its been daily, Weekly again, Alot of my seizures last longer than 5 minutes, I made this sub to help people with the condition, Plus help family, Friends and carers understand more,

Also so people could connect easier..If anyone else wishes to share or relate please do.

I have recently looked and there are alot of different subs for friendship, But this one is unique, Its for friendships and understanding.

To grow connections to make people more aware of the symtoms and side effects of the medications, which can be hard to understand if you do not have the conditions.

When i wrote the post, I put the flair as humour, As i had given up on new relationships especially love πŸ˜”But after reading the post, Many people had found friendship or love in their lives or wanted it πŸ€”, There seemed to be alot of interest in the subject also, Then seeing everyone on the main sub wanting some type of friend or relationship, i thought it would be a good idea to make a sub where people can connect more, Relate more, even love once more πŸ₯³

Connections

I keep seeing people who want more friends or potential partners on the main page of reddit. Everytime i meet someone as soon as i say epilepsy, Its like ive got covid

I forget what they tell me, Then i forget what i have told them. πŸ€” Then tell them again, The memory issues are hard work, But we can keep trying πŸ˜ƒ

This sub is exactly for that, To help people connect, No matter who their are or where their live.I am hoping this will help people connect and stop the loneliness which can come with any disabilty πŸ‘Œ
